摘要: The invention relates to a high-pressure fuel reservoir for a common-rail fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, having a tubular base body, which has a substantially circular-cylindrical interior disposed centrally with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tubular base body, which interior communicates with a plurality of connection openings. To enhance the high-pressure strength by simple provisions, the cross section of the tubular base body, in the portions in which the connection openings are disposed, is embodied in weakened form.

摘要: In a structure of mounting a fuel injection valve, an annular connecting groove 12 is defined in an outer peripheral surface of an intermediate portion of a fuel injection valve I which has a fuel inlet portion 6 inserted in a fuel supply port 16 in a fuel distribution pipe D, and a connecting flange 17 is formed in the fuel supply port 16 and aligned axially with the connecting groove 12. A collar portion 22 and a locking groove 21 are engaged with the connecting groove 12 and the connecting flange 17, respectively, and are provided in a connecting member 20 for resiliently clamping the fuel injection valve I and the fuel supply port 16 from opposite outsides. A positioning bore 18 is provided in the connecting flange 17, and a positioning projection 13 is formed on the fuel injection valve I to be brought into engagement in the positioning bore 18 simultaneously with the insertion of the fuel inlet portion 6 into the fuel supply port 16. Thus, it is possible to easily connect the fuel injection valve to the fuel distribution pipe, while enhancing the accuracy of positioning of the fuel injection valve in a rotating direction on the fuel distribution pipe.

摘要: A connector, for example as shown in FIG. 1, for use in supplying fuel to a fuel injector comprises a tubular member arranged to be received, in use, within an opening provided in an engine cylinder head, the tubular member being shaped, at a first end thereof, for cooperation with part of the fuel injector, a second end of the tubular member being shaped for cooperation with an inlet adapter member. The inlet adaptor member is secured, in use, within the opening, the inlet adapter member and the tubular member defining a flow passage whereby fuel can be supplied, under pressure, to the fuel injector.

摘要: Two A-shaped brackets for clamping three linearly located injectors onto a cylinder head of an engine. Each bracket has one top branch and two foot branches. Two top branches of the two brackets cooperatively press down a center injector among the three, and two pairs of foot branches of the two brackets press down two side injectors, respectively. Each injector has a flange that is pressed down by the two top branches of the two brackets or the two foot branches of the associated bracket Each bracket has an opening at its approximate center so that a screw shaft extending from the cylinder head can penetrate. Each bracket is secured on a cylinder head by tightening a nut over the screw shaft.

The fuel rail is attached to the cylinder head by fasteners that extend parallel to the fasteners that fix the intake manifold to an adjacent portion of the cylinder head. Even when a fuel vapor liquefies in the intake silencer 76 at the time of engine suspension, the liquefied fuel is caught at a bottom of the intake silencer 76 having a large volume with no possibility of flowing out.

A metal ring arranged on the nozzle body is deformed when heated, producing a radial pressure of the fuel injection valve in the receiving bore only when heated after the fuel injection valve has been inserted into the receiving bore.
