摘要： The invention relates to a hydraulic control unit for a servomotor of the type used for vehicle steering systems. The unit has a control circuit with a power operated pump and a hand operated metering motor and an operating circuit with a power operated pump. The two circuits intersect upstream from the servomotor. A pressure comparison, throttling and proportioning valve is disposed between the outlets of the two pumps of the control and operating circuits. The proportioning valve is controlled by a differential pressure applied by the pumps and a spring which supplements the operating pump pressure. In the normal operating mode the proportioning valve allows a minor fractional flow of the pressurized fluid generated by the control pump to flow through the valve to the operating circuit. Under varying conditions when either of the pumps become wholly or partially inoperative the proportioning valve provides for an increased flow from the unaffected circuit to the disabled circuit to maintain a degree of operation until such time that the breakdown has been cured.

摘要： A fluid power assist type of vehicle steering system having a controlled servo motor assembly operated through a control circuit, and interconnected with the steering linkage, is provided with an auxiliary servo motor assembly through which pressure regulation is effected to prevent vibration otherwise amplified by feedback pressure signals. Differential pressure actuated pilot valves control the supply and return of pressurized fluid to and from the auxiliary servo motor assembly in response to differences between opposing pressures of the servo motor assemblies to regulate only the pressure chambers of the auxiliary servo motor assembly.

摘要： The invention relates to a control valve assembly for a hydrostatic control system such as power steering assembly. A common control valve assembly of this type has relatively rotatable inner and outer elements connected respectively to a vehicle steering wheel and a servomotor. Paired holes in the inner and outer element permit the flow of fluid therethrough when the unit is in its neutral position with the paired holes in respective registration. In hydrostatic steering system of this type impact is sometimes applied to the steering wheel when the working motor connected to the steered wheels is suddenly loaded, e.g. when the wheels strike a stone. Such impacts on the steering wheel are avoided by providing a one-way valve in a section of the working path through which fluid flows to the working motor. Pressure regulating valve means, excess pressure valve means and emergency control valve means are associated with the one-way valve assembly.

摘要： A hydrostatic servomechanism adapted to control the direction of vehicles and self-propelled machines. 摘要： A vehicle includes a steering wheel which is linked to a steering valve for shifting the latter from a neutral position to first and second active positions for causing respective extension and retraction of a two-way steering cylinder. Formed within the steering cylinder is a follow-up cylinder which extends and retracts in unison with the steering cylinder. A twoway slave cylinder is linked to the steering valve and has opposite ends respectively fluidly connected to one end of the steering cylinder and to the follow-up cylinder such that when turning of the steering wheel is stopped, the slave cylinder shifts to return the steering valve to the neutral position. The displacement of the follow-up and slave cylinders are matched to permit full-stroke operation of the steering cylinder. A fixed volume of control fluid is trapped between the follow-up and slave cylinders. Connected in the return line from the steering cylinder is a pilot-operated valve which is responsive to the control fluid pressure for opening the return line only when the steering valve occupies an active position.

摘要： A hydraulic servo device which controls the delivery of highpressure fluid in an amount proportional to a manual input signal including a rotary valve for supplying fluid to a rotary servo metering device that follows movement of the valve about the same axis delivering fluid to a remotely disposed actuator, with the servo metering device taking the form of a stationary internally toothed ring gear, a carrier supporting a plurality of planetary gears interengaging the stationary ring gear and defining therewith a plurality of expanding and contracting fluid chambers, there being provided in the rotary valve a supply port and two adjacent load ports which continuously communicate with the remote actuator for supplying fluid to and from the same, with a plurality of pressure-balancing recesses disposed oppositely in the rotary valve with respect to each of the ports in the valve, there being also provided two ports in the carrier for supplying fluid to and from the servo device so that the latter device acts in follow up action with respect to the rotary valve through the selective communication between the ports in the carrier and the supply port in the rotary valve. The rotary valve may be either of the closed center or open center type and may also be either load reactive or nonload reactive through the proper location of the load ports in the valve with respect to the two ports in the carrier member.
