摘要： A process of creating incentives for wireless hotspots by a service provider is disclosed. An access point is provided to a wireless hotspot for wireless devices to wirelessly connect to a larger network in a publicly accessible location. Use of the access point for a portable device is authenticated by requesting submission of an account identifier to the service provider and billing data for a user of the portable device for use of the access point is generated. Use statistics are evaluated of the access point of the wireless hotspot by portables devices and an inducement is provided to the publicly accessible location based on the evaluated use statistics.

摘要： In general, a system and method for analyzing wireless communication records and for determining optimal wireless communication service plans is disclosed. A transceiver is configured to receive billing information associated with a subscriber of a telecommunications service under a current rate plan. A storage unit stores the billing information. A processor processes the subscriber related billing information to produce organized data having a predefined format. The processor then analyzes the processed data in relation to a plurality of rate plans of a plurality of telecommunications service providers, and determines at least one proposed rate plan that would save the subscriber telecommunication costs relative to the current rate plan. A report of at least one proposed rate plan is then produced and provided to the subscriber, which enables selection of a best telecommunication service provider.

In the mobile communication system, a home zone signal generator generates a home zone signal, a mobile radio terminal receives the home zone signal and determines whether the mobile radio terminal is currently within or outside a home zone based on the strength of the home zone signal, and a base station communicates with the mobile radio terminal. A visitor location register temporarily stores a first and a second telephone numbers of a subscriber, wherein each telephone number represents different charge rates. A mobile exchange receives a call information, a mobile identification number, and the home zone in/out information from the base station and selects one of the first and second telephone numbers of a subscriber corresponding to the mobile identification number and the home zone in/out information. A billing center receives the call information and one of the selected first and the second telephone numbers from the mobile exchange and generates a service charge for the call connection.

In prior art, all of the records are transmitted to a billing platform for billing customers for the services. When a customer requests credit for an unsatisfactory service, the credit issuance is traditionally handled at the billing platform. However, in accordance with the invention, the credit issuance is handled by first identifying, from the records, those records of service events for which the credit is requested. All of the records, except the identified records, are then transmitted to the billing platform for completion of the billing process, thereby effecting the credit issuance.

In one embodiment of the present invention, the system charges the interested party a fee for providing the results of the determination. In one embodiment of the present invention, the system additionally receives a request to switch a current service plan to an alternate service plan, and then switches the current service plan to the alternate service plan. In one embodiment of the present invention, the system additionally displays an ad to the interested party and collects advertising revenue for the advertisement.

The communication system performs telephone communication by a service group constructed of a web server, a network management server, a billing server, a call intermediation server, a DB server, and a gateway. The communication service method includes a communication authentication step in which a calling party judges if a telephone call is available or not; a communication request step in which the calling party inputs his telephone number and a called party's telephone number to request the telephone call; a speaker callback step for callback-dialing the inputted telephone numbers of the calling party and the called party; a telephone call execution step in which the calling party communicates with the called party and charges for the telephone call are charged based on the period of calling time; and a charge billing step for billing the charges for the telephone call upon the completion of the telephone call. Accordingly, users can use domestic and international telephone services with lower charges by using the callback function.
