Abstract:
A stroller track system is used to facilitate the transporting of a stroller up and down stairs. The stroller track system includes a left tread assembly and a right tread assembly. The left tread assembly and the right tread assembly are used to engage multiple stairs while traversing a set of stairs. This allows the stroller to glide smoothly up or down the stairs. The left tread assembly and the right tread assembly each include a first track and a first stroller-attaching mount. The first track has a greater surface area than a normal wheel, allowing the first track to span a larger section of a staircase. The first stroller-attaching mount is used to attach the first track to a stroller. In alternative versions of the stroller track system, the left tread assembly and the right tread assembly may include additional tracks to further stabilize the stroller.
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a mobile cart which can be utilized as a cart for transporting beach supplies including toys, games, sporting goods, umbrellas, blankets, towels and food. Advantageously, the subject invention can be folded into a small suitcase like container and then opened to provide a cart as set forth herein. The cart according to the present invention may also include a self-propulsion system including a motor or motors for driving a tread, track or wheels along with a low friction skid surface or skis for directing the cart to a desired location. There may also be included a power source, for example batteries or solar panels, may be utilized to supply the power needed for self-propulsion and for powering or charging portable electronic devices, if desired.
Abstract:
An electric dolly system for transporting an object up and down stairs having a base platform connected to a bottom end of support rails, a handle at a top end and a pair of wheels at the bottom end, a track belt wrapped around a first and second rotator component adapted to rotate around the rotator components like a conveyor belt using a motor, the first rotator component is connected to the support rails via a first extension arm and the second rotator component is connected to the support rails via a second extension arm, the first extension arm is positioned closer to the handle and is longer than the second extension arm such that the track belt is at an angle with respect to the support rails.
Abstract:
A selectively configurable trolley for transporting articles across a given terrain includes a housing having a top platform and sides that at least partially define an enclosure for mounting internal operating components therein. One or more roller bearings are disposed within the housing and all configured to rotatingly support a drive belt. A handle is attached to the housing for pushing or pulling the trolley and a guide roller is disposed at a proximal end of the housing and is angled relative to the roller bearings to facilitate rotation of the belt therearound.
Abstract:
A carriage wheel assembly for golf bag drag carriage or baby carriage is disclosed to include a wheel holder assembly, two road wheels respectively mounted on front and rear wheel axles at the wheel holder assembly, multiple auxiliary wheels respectively mounted on a respective wheel axle between the road wheels, and a capillary track supported on the road wheels and the auxiliary wheel and surrounding the wheel holder assembly for direct contact with the ground.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for an electronic equipment enclosure that provides directed airflow only to those volumes within the enclosure that require the airflow. The electronic equipment enclosure further provides protection from contaminants such as falling dirt, rain, sleet, snow, windblown dust, splashing water, hose-directed water, and ice. A pedestal may be coupled to the electronic equipment enclosure that facilitates movement of the electronic equipment enclosure via a pallet jack, forklift, front loader, or similar jacking device. A sidecar may also be coupled to one or more sides of the electronic equipment enclosure to facilitate vertically mounted equipment within the sidecar.
Abstract:
A rescue device which attaches to the frame of a self-contained breathing apparatus carried on the back of emergency workers such as firemen, hazardous-waste cleanup crews, and other individuals entering into hostile environments. The rescue device is adapted to connect to the frame of existing self-contained breathing apparatus frames or racks. In one form, the rescue device has a top and bottom frame which connects to the SCBA tank at the top and bottom locations. The frames project around the body of the SCBA tank and extend out to position rolling elements for providing the transportation needs. The frames are connected to the tank of an SCBA by way of a quick-release linkage system. The frames have at the rolling elements ends wheel forks which contain wheels having axles. In another embodiment a skid plate is attached to the ends of the frames in conjunction with the protruding wheels or by itself without rolling elements. Other ways of creating the reduction in frictional drag are provided such as a sled type configuration and a track system.
Abstract:
A tracked vehicle, or a kit for converting a standard bicycle into a tracked cycle, includes a track assembly with a bogie assembly for riding on snow, mud, sand, etc. The track assembly includes a continuous track movably disposed about a drive wheel coupled to a frame of the vehicle or bike, and a bogie wheel disposed rearward of the drive wheel. The bogie assembly includes a pair of arms coupling the bogie wheel to the frame of the vehicle or bike in a cantilever fashion.
Abstract:
A sliding device for sliding on the ground down a sloped or inclined surface (grass, dirt, sand, synthetic turf, etc.) has an upper deck and a slide mechanism mounted below and in parallel with the upper deck. The slide mechanism has a slide base of an elongated planar member with opposite radiused ends, and an endless anti-friction belt entrained to slide around the slide base. A pair of outboard side rails is mounted on opposite transverse sides of the slide base extending longitudinally. Each side rail has a plurality of mounting cutouts in a row spaced along the length thereof for mounting a plurality of wheels on the outboard side of the side rail for making turns. The wheels are preferably mounted with rubber inserts in the cutouts to allow for slight deflection of the wheels upward and rearward for better tracking in a turn. The device may be used for sliding down a hill like a body board, boogie board, surfboard, sled, ski, or skateboard.
