Abstract:
An antipathogenic domestic livestock house includes a building structure (chicken house) A1 for breeding or living a living organism B1, extracts of vegetable organisms of cupressaceae for preventing and eliminating pathogenic infections of the living organism B1, and a spreading means 1 for spreading the extracts of vegetable organisms of cupressaceae into an atmosphere surrounding the living organism B1.
Abstract:
A structure for housing plants and animals, particularly poultry, in a controlled environment, comprises a base and opposite sides inclined towards an apex at which there is provided an opening. A ceiling is provided inside the structure over the plants or animals. The ceiling is opened to allow hot air trapped below it to pass out through the opening in the apex, thereby cooling the interior. To heat the interior, the ceiling is closed to retain the heat generated by the plants or animals as well as solar generated heat. Vents are preferably provided in the sides of the structure to allow cooling air to be drawn in when the ceiling is opened.
Abstract:
Proper ventilation is achieved by exhaust fans which draw fresh air into the building through an inlet duct. The inlet opening is adjustable by a valve movable between generally open and closed positions and a movable deflector controls the direction of flow in accordance with the rate of flow to achieve even circulation. The valve and deflector position are controlled by an actuator responsive to the pressure differential between the inside and outside of the building. Preferably, the inlet opening is a longitudinal slot extending the length of the building along each side at the ceiling and the exhaust fans are positioned at the floor. Preferably, a louver in front of the opening controls the effective size of the opening and the deflection angle of flow into the building.
Abstract:
A curtain control device is provided for use with a poultry or livestock house having an electrically operated forced ventilation system and/or having adjustable curtains along the side walls thereof adapted for being raised and lowered for providing adequate ventilation in the poultry house. The device is operably connected to the curtains and adapted for automatically opening the curtains of the poultry house in response to a failure of the electrical power operating the ventilating system for thereby insuring ventilation of the poultry house and preventing suffocation of the poultry housed therein. The device is also adapted for effecting lowering of the curtains in the event the temperature within the poultry house exceeds a predetermined level.
Abstract:
A louver is positioned in front of the air inlet opening by one or more support brackets and held upright at various deflecting angles of inclination to the opening by a cable-pulley arrangement. The lower margin of the louver is selectively positioned in one of a plurality of laterally spaced openings in the bracket to vary the size of the down-wash opening while the lateral flow opening and the deflection angle of the louver is selected by the cable-pulley arrangement.
