The terminal device in communication with the base station monitors a physical downlink control channel placed in a common search space and an enhanced physical downlink control channel placed in a terminal-specific search space. Upon detecting the enhanced physical downlink control channel, the terminal device maps response information to a physical uplink control channel resource determined in response to at least an index of an element forming the detected enhanced physical downlink control channel and an individual shift amount individually configured on a per terminal device basis, and then reports the base station of the mapped response information.
