Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive multiple downlink control information (DCI) messages from a base station, where each of the multiple DCI messages schedules a respective downlink transmission. Some of the DCI messages may be multiplexed with downlink transmissions. The UE may identify, for each downlink transmission multiplexed with one of the multiple DCI messages, a time period including a beginning of the downlink transmission, and the UE may determine an order of the multiple DCI messages based on the time period. The UE may transmit a feedback message to the base station for the respective downlink transmissions based on the determined order. The UE may transmit the feedback message to the base station on uplink resources indicated by a last DCI message in the determined order.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for coexistence of multiple uplink control channel formats for wireless communication with power spectral density limitation are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) may communicate, with a base station (BS) over a random access channel on a first set of random access resources or a second set of random access resources, a random access request based on a comparison between an intended transmit power of the random access request and a reference transmit power threshold. The UE may communicate, on a first set of uplink resources, a control message for initial network access when the random access request is communicated on the first set of random access resources. The UE also may communicate, on a second set of uplink resources, the control message when the random access request is communicated on the second set of random access resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may use beamforming to transmit control and data transmissions to a set of user equipments (UEs). A base station may transmit downlink control information (DCI) to UEs that may indicate a set of resource allocations in which the base station may schedule a data transmission, and a respective transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state. The TCI state may indicate which transmission beam the base station may use to transmit a data transmission in a particular resource allocation. The UE may receive and decode the DCI and identify resource allocation information and an index that may indicate one or more TCI states being used for transmitting a broadcast or unicast transmission to the UE within a resource allocation. The UE may select one or more of the resource allocations to monitor for, and subsequently receive, the data transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a base station may transmit downlink control channel messages during one or more monitoring occasions using a first set of resources. The base station may perform a directional listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure on one or more beams. The base station may transmit a control message including instructions to modify monitoring of a wireless channel using the first set of resources over a second set of resources. A UE may monitor, using the first set of resources, for downlink control channel signaling during monitoring occasions according to a first monitoring pattern. The UE may receive, using the second set of resources, the control message, and may monitor the wireless channel according a second monitoring pattern based on the received control message.

Abstract: A wireless communication system utilizes a synchronization signal block (SSB) structure to enable beam switching at higher sub carrier spacing (SCS) or uplink transmissions within an SSB. The SSB structure has a first SCS for an SSB transmission and a second SCS for a data transmission. The SSB structure is based on the first SCS and the second SCS, with the SSB structure including at least one gap between SSB symbols or between SSBs. The wireless communication system transmits or receives an SSB based on the SSB structure. A base station may transmit a downlink signal during the gap, for example, where the second SCS is much greater than the first SCS. A user equipment may transmit an uplink signal such as an acknowledgment during the at least one gap. The user equipment or the base station may perform analog beam switching during the at least one gap between SSBs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station in a wireless communications system. The UE may perform a random access procedure to communicate with the base station. The base station may configure the UE with criteria for selecting a transmission mode. The UE may select a transmission mode for transmitting repetitions of physical random access channel (PRACH) transmissions according to current conditions satisfying the criteria. The criteria may be different based on a contention free random access (CFRA) procedure type or a purpose of the CFRA procedure. The transmission modes may include repetitions of PRACH on multiple random access channel (RACH) occasions, multiple component carriers (CCs), multiple frequency allocations of a same CC, superposition of preambles, different RACH resources, or different PRACH formats.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, for measurement and reporting procedures associated with a sidelink positioning reference signal (SL-PRS). In one aspect, a first user equipment (UE), which may function as a sidelink anchor node, may transmit an SL-PRS to a second UE in accordance with a slot format or structure that is dedicated for SL-PRS transmissions. The first UE may select resources for the transmission of the SL-PRS via sensing and exclusion or using a set of resources that are dedicated for SL-PRS transmissions. The second UE may receive the SL-PRS and use the SL-PRS to acquire positioning information, in accordance with an observed time difference of arrival (OTDOA)-based positioning method, or may transmit a second SL-PRS to the first UE to facilitate acquisition of positioning information at the first UE, in accordance with a round-trip-time (RTT)-based positioning method.
