    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for switching between SBFD and HD modes for different periodicities are described. An apparatus is configured to operate in a SBFD mode associated with a SBFD operation or a HD mode. SBFD operations are associated with SB sets and the HD mode is associated with time/frequency resource sets. The apparatus is configured to obtain first indications of a time/frequency location for each SB, or second indications of the time/frequency resources, and switch to operate in another of the SBFD or the HD mode based on the first or second indications. Another apparatus is configured to configure time/frequency locations for SBs of SBFD operations associated with SBFD modes and time/frequency resources of a HD mode, and transmit, for a UE, first indications of the time/frequency locations, or second indications of the time/frequency resources.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a configuration that enables an apparatus to determine beam pairs for full duplex communication based on a cross-link interference procedure. The apparatus determines a subset of receive beams based on a beam measurement process, where each receive beam is associated with a different antenna array panel. In some aspects, the apparatus performs a channel measurement process based on the subset of receive beams. The apparatus sweeps through transmitted sounding reference signals from a same transmit beam corresponding to each receive beam of an antenna array panel and receives the transmitted sounding reference signals incrementally through other receive beams associated with other antenna array panels. The apparatus measures a self-interference for at least one beam pair of the subset of receive beams based on a received sounding reference signal. The apparatus selects one or more beam pairs based on a self-interference measurement or a signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication using sub-band full duplex (SBFD). A network entity can inform a user equipment (UE) on the allocation of communication resources for SBFD operations using sub-bands. The network entity can indicate sub-band allocation in symbols/slots configured for SBFD operations using various techniques. A UE can receive a SBFD configuration of one or more time slots, each time slot including a plurality of symbols. The SBFD configuration indicates that one or more of the plurality of symbols are capable of an SBFD operation using a first sub-band for downlink (DL) communication and a second sub-band for uplink (UL) communication. The UE can communicate with the network entity in the one or more symbols configured for the SBFD operation using at least one of the first sub-band for DL communication or the second sub-band for UL communication.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) reports, to a base station, UE duplex communication characteristics. The UE then communicates with the base station in accordance with the reported characteristics. The characteristics can include duplex communication modes supported by the UE. The modes can include receiving and transmitting concurrently with the base station; communicating in a first direction with the base station and concurrently communicating in an opposite direction with a second base station; communicating with the i in a first direction concurrent with the base station communicating in an opposite direction with another UE; and communicating in half duplex (HD) with the base station in HD. The UE can receive, from the base station, a command to communicate in a reported mode. In such cases, communicating, by the UE with the base station, in accordance with the reported duplex communication characteristics includes communicating with the base station in the commanded mode.
