Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, the described techniques provide for performing and reporting suitable measurements, at a first user equipment (UE), on reference signals from relay UEs to determine which relay UEs to activate or deactivate for relaying communications for the first UE. The first UE may be configured to perform measurements on deactivated relay UEs, and the first UE may report these measurements (or other measurements) when one or more events are triggered. The events may depend on the measurements performed on the deactivated relay UEs. Once the events are triggered, the first UE may report the measurements, and a second UE or a network entity may use the measurements to efficiently determine which relay UEs to activate or deactivate for relaying communications for the first UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Described techniques provide for autonomous selection and updating of beams from a set of candidate beams for a slot aggregation configuration. A user equipment (UE) may receive a set of reference signals associated with the set of candidate beams for communications with a network entity. The UE may perform a beam prediction process based on measurements of the reference signals. The UE may identify, based on the beam prediction process, a subset of beams of the set of candidate beams for a slot aggregation configuration for the communications with the network entity. The UE may communicate with the network entity according to the slot aggregation configuration.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a second UE on a sidelink channel, an indicator of a state of the sidelink channel. Accordingly, the first UE may transmit, to a base station, a request for an additional resource for the sidelink channel, based at least in part on determining that the indicator of the state of the sidelink channel satisfies a condition. For example, the first UE may determine that a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) supported by a current resource for the sidelink channel is outside a range of MCSs granted by the base station. Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for signaling the capability of a wireless communication device (e.g., a UE) to support demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling for channel estimation across two or more slots in the sidelink or uplink. In some examples, a transmitting UE may transmit a DMRS bundling indication to a receiving device (e.g., a receiving UE for sidelink DMRS bundling or a base station for uplink DMRS bundling). The DMRS bundling indication may indicate a capability of the transmitting UE to support DMRS bundling. The transmitting UE may then transmit a respective set of DMRSs within each of two or more slots during a DMRS bundling window to the receiving device based on the transmitting wireless communication device and the receiving device supporting DMRS bundling.
