An image matching apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a storage unit, an obtaining unit, a specification unit, and an image matching unit. The storage unit is configured to store image data of one or more devices that are connected to a local network. The obtaining unit is configured to obtain image data of device image obtained by capturing a device. The specification unit is configured to specify one or more local networks to be used for image matching. The image matching unit is configured to perform image matching of the obtained image data against the stored image data of one or more devices that are connected to the specified local network.

A system for providing a user terminal with configurations of a local network is provided. The system includes an obtaining unit configured to obtain the configurations of the local network and a telephone number corresponding to the local network, a storage unit configured to store the obtained configurations and the obtained telephone number such that the obtained configurations and the obtained telephone number are associated with each other, a receiving unit configured to receive a request for the configurations from the user terminal, the request comprising the telephone number corresponding to the local network, a retrieving unit configured to retrieve the configurations associated with the received telephone number from the storage unit, and a response unit configured to respond the retrieved configurations to the user terminal.

Abstract:
An object of embodiments of the present invention is to establish a secure connection from a device to a private network, to which the device belongs, when the device may be located remotely from the private network. This is achieved by locating a server in the private network while reusing existing authorization mechanisms in the network. A target resource is in this private network and a device located outside the private network can access the target resource by using the server and a proxy agent which intermediates a request from the device by using a one time session URL.

A method and apparatus for providing a temporary identity module to a device (1) in a communication network. An RO Server (2) receives a request for an identity module (51) from the device (1). It then obtains an identity module and generates an encryption key (S4, S5). The encryption key is partitioned into a plurality of slices such that no slice comprises the whole encryption key (S6). Each slice is sent (S8, S9) to respective further devices (10, 11) accessible by the server (2) such that no single further device (10, 11) receives sufficient slices to reconstruct the encryption key. A key location key is generated (S10) that identifies each slice and the further device (10, 11) to which each slice has been sent. The identity module is encrypted using the encryption key (S11) and sent to the device (1) along with the location key (S12). The device (1) can subsequently use the location key to obtain the slices and reconstruct the encryption key.

One aspect of the present invention will provide a gateway apparatus being able to communicate with a user terminal and provide the user terminal with a GBA authentication between the gateway apparatus and an authentication server, comprising, a receiving unit operable to receive a HTTP request addressed to a network address of the gateway apparatus from the user terminal, a requesting unit operable to request an GBA authentication to the authentication server according to the reception of the HTTP request, and a transmission unit operable to transmit the HTTP request, after the GBA authentication, to the authentication server using a network address of the authentication server preliminarily received from the authentication server.

A user device communicates with a network server that has access to one or more knowledge sources. Based on a current situational context for a user of the device, the network server dynamically generates a group-related personalized dictionary using information retrieved from the knowledge sources and provides the dictionary to the user device. Applications executing on the user device can then use the dictionary to suggest or predict words, terms, or symbols to the user in response to receiving user input.
