The present disclosure describes a message transmission method. In one example method, a first signal is received by a first device from a second device using a radio channel. A second signal, corresponding to and different from the received first signal, is transmitted by the second device to the first device. Information carried by the second signal corresponds to one of M state values. A first sequence corresponding to one or more subcarriers occupied by the second signal is directly proportional to a product of a preset second sequence and a third sequence in a state sequence set. Channel information of the radio channel is estimated by the first device according to the received first signal and the preset second sequence. The information carried by the second signal is determined by the first device according to the estimated channel information of the radio channel and the received first signal.

This application provides an enhanced physical downlink control channel transmission method and apparatus. The method includes: in a physical resource block set, separately arranging first resource groups in each physical resource block pair PRB pair, where the first resource groups are enhanced resource element groups eREGs or REGs, and the physical resource block set includes at least one of the physical resource block pairs; numbering second resource groups according to a correspondence between the first resource groups and the second resource groups in the physical resource block set, where the second resource groups are control channel element eCCE groups or control channel candidates; determining numbers of the second resource groups for transmitting an E-PDCCH; and mapping, according to the determined numbers, the E-PDCCH to the corresponding first resource groups for transmission. The technical solution of this application resolves an E-PDCCH transmission problem.

The present invention provides a method for transmitting a pilot signal, a base station, and user equipment The method including: determining, by a base station, a transmission period of a pilot antenna port group; and sending, by the base station, in a transmission period corresponding to each pilot antenna port group, a pilot signal to user equipment by using a resource corresponding to the pilot antenna port group, so that the user equipment measures channel quality according to the pilot signal. By means of the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present invention, pilot signal overheads can be reduced.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a channel measurement method, including: receiving reference signal resource configuration information of a target cell, where a quantity of pieces of the reference signal resource configuration information of the target cell is greater than 1; performing channel measurement on the target cell according to the reference signal resource configuration information; and reporting a channel measurement result of the target cell to a serving cell. Accordingly, the present invention further discloses a cell handover method, a related apparatus, and a system.
