    Abstract: Audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices in network communication with additional cameras in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure are provided. In one embodiment, an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device is provided comprising: a first camera configured to capture image data at a first resolution; a communication module; and a processing module operatively connected to the first camera and the communication module, wherein the processing module is in network communication with a backend server, the processing module comprising: a processor; and a camera application that configures the processor to: maintain the first camera in a low-power state; receive a power-up command signal from the backend server based on an output signal from a second camera; power up the first camera in response to the power-up command signal; and capture image data using the first camera in response to the power-up command signal.

    Abstract: Security video searching device, systems, and methods determine behavior associated with each of a plurality of video clips captured by security devices, find video clips that include behavior indicative of search characteristics, and send the found video clips to a user. A search engine analyzes each of the plurality of video clips to determine behavior associated with the video clip and finds ones of the plurality of video clips where the behavior matches the search characteristics defined by of the user. Previously determined behavioral patterns associated with motion signals generated by the security devices may also be used to determine behavior within the video clips.

    Abstract: The present application is directed to creating intrusion zones for security systems. For example, a client device may cause a graphical user interface (GUI) to be displayed on a display, the GUI configured for creating an intrusion zone for an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device. The GUI may include one or more motion zones associated with a field of view of the A/V recording and communication device. While displaying the GUI, the client device may receive a first input selecting a motion zone from the one or more motion zones, at least a portion of the motion zone being associated with the intrusion zone, a second input for setting a conditional setting for the intrusion zone, and a third input selecting an activation mode of the security system to associate with the intrusion zone. The client device may then transmit, to at least one of a network device and the A/V recording and communication device, a control signal that is configured to cause the at least one of the network device and the A/V recording and communication device to save the intrusion zone.

    Abstract: A security device has user-configurable motion detection settings. The security device includes at least one camera configured to capture sequential frames of image data within a field of view; at least one processor; memory communicatively coupled with the processor(s); a location setting, stored in the memory, defining whether or not the security device is located at a common access area; and machine readable instructions stored in the memory. The machine readable instructions are executable by the processor(s) to determine the image data indicates motion; and determine that the motion indicates lingering presence at the common access area. In certain embodiments, the machine readable instructions are executable by the processor(s) to determine, from the image data, that the average ambient light over a daily period varies less than a light variation threshold, and configure the location setting to indicate that the security device is located at the common access area.
