    摘要: An electrooptical solid element comprises a formed resin composition comprising a low molecular polar substance having a Kerr type electrooptical effect, and an organic polymer substance compatible with the low molecular polar substance. The formed resin composition is prepared by a method such as melt mixing on rollers, or dissolution in a common solvent followed by evaporation of the solvent. This formed resin composition is prepared in various shapes such as a polygon, a film, a prism and a polygonal pole. At least a pair of electrodes are provided on the surfaces of the formed resin composition, and further at least one of the electrodes may can be made of a transparent material.

    摘要: A vacuum packaging method and apparatus for packaging solid objects such as food products of various shapes automatically. A web of tubular plastic film is supplied from a roll and drawn over an opening core which opens the plastic film into a rectangular shape. The film is then drawn over the object to be packaged and cut to a predetermined length. In one embodiment, the front end of the film is then sealed and the object urged towards the sealed end. In another embodiment, both ends of the film are left open at this point. The object with the film positioned therearound is transferred to a vacuum chamber. Prior to the chamber being evacuated, tension is applied to the film so as to prevent the formation of creases.

    摘要: The invention provides improved composite and conjugate filaments to be used exclusively in in-water submerged purposes. Each of these filaments consists of a core of vinylidene fluoride resin consisting in turn of one or more filamentary element(s), while a sheath consists of polyamide resin. The composing ratio as measured between the cross-sections of these both resins is defined by a value extending from 1/99-to 40/60, preferably from 3/97 to 30/70, still more preferably between 3/97 and 20/80.

    摘要: There is provided a novel detergent composition containing no phosphorus component, which comprises an anionic and/or nonionic synthetic surfactant(s) and an effective amount of a mixture in a specified proportion consisting essentially of an imido-bis-sulfate salt, a palmitate salt and an N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)glutamate salt and/or a salt of N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)phenylalanine. The detergent composition exhibits the detergency at least equivalent to conventional detergent compositions containing 20% or more of sodium tripolyphosphate and causes no pollution problems.

    摘要: Modified titanium oxide is prepared by polymerizing a mixture of vinyl chloride and a carboxylic monomer such as 10-undecenoic acid in the presence of titanium oxide. The thus obtained, modified titanium oxide is mixed with a vinyl chloride resin, typically, polyvinyl chloride to give a vinyl chloride resin composition having an improved weatherability and being substantially free of serious drawbacks accompanying the addition of conventional titanium oxide such as plating out during extrusion and decrease in extrusion throughput.

    摘要: A multiply grafted copolymer is obtained by graft-polymerizing onto non-elastic trunk polymer particles (a) a monomer mixture (b) comprising an elasticity-imparting monomer selected from conjugated dienes and acrylates, a polyalkylene oxide monomer comprising 4 to 500 alkylene oxide groups together with a terminal double bond and an optional ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (c) in order. An antistatic resin composition comprising this multiply grafted copolymer alone or a mixture of this copolymer and a thermoplastic resin compatible therewith can utilize the rubbery polymer component (b) more effectively than an antistatic resin composition comprising a graft copolymer obtained by graft-polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (c) onto a trunk polymer comprising a mere copolymer of a monomer mixture (b), and thus can provide an improved antistatic effect.
