    Abstract: A device for measuring a characteristic of a fluid includes a sensor comprising a first main face furnished with a sensitive part sensitive to said characteristic and intended to be in contact with the fluid, and a second main face opposite furnished with a first electrical contact element on which a measurement signal is obtained. The device also includes a support comprising a first main face provided with a second electrical contact element linked electrically to the first electrical contact element, a second main face opposite, and an opening passing through the main faces of the support. The device further includes a cap fastened to the second main face of the sensor and delimiting, with this second main face, a cavity closed hermetically facing which is disposed the sensitive part of the sensor; in which the second main face of the sensor is fastened hermetically and/or in a leaktight manner to that of the support at the periphery of the opening, a part of the first electrical contact element being opposite and/or in the opening.

    Abstract: A sensor unit support structure for supporting a sensor unit in a manhole. The support structure comprises an elongate beam adjustable along its length to span a width of the manhole and support the sensor unit within the manhole. The support structure further comprises first and second mounting brackets associated with respective first and second ends of the beam, each mounting bracket being configured to fasten the beam to an inner surface of the manhole. The support structure further comprises first and second temporary brackets associated with respective first and second mounting brackets. The first and second mounting brackets are configured to be removably coupled to the respective first and second temporary brackets, each temporary bracket being configured to engage a rim of the manhole to allow the first and second mounting brackets to be positioned in the manhole and temporarily supported in position until the mounting brackets are fastened to the inner surface of the manhole.

    Abstract: A transducer mounting apparatus can be used to remotely monitor the integrity of pipes or pipelines, which ordinarily are difficult to access due to environmental factors. The transducer mounting apparatus can include one or more transducer blocks, each adapted for receiving a transducer. A UT couplant and threaded transducer are positioned in an opening in the transducer block. A gear wheel adjusts the transducer up and down against the UT couplant to optimize the positioning relative to the pipe being monitored. A series of transducer blocks are connected by a tension block and or more wire ropes extending through the tension block and the transducer blocks. The length of the wire rope is adjusted with a set screw extending from the tension block to a transducer block, thereby allowing the transducer block assembly to accommodate different pipe diameters or mechanical structures of varying dimensions that are not necessarily round.

    Abstract: A portable metrology stand is disclosed that has three primary legs, which are rigidly, rotatably attached to a base support, which prevents the leg tubes from rotating outwardly beyond a defined angle by adjustable hard stops associated with the base support. The base support is itself supported by a center column disposed between the three legs. The legs are rigidly displaced from the center column by struts. A tensioning nut is threaded onto a bottom end of a clamping collar which is pulled up against an adjustable snap-ring in a snap-ring groove in the center column. Tightening the tensioning nut onto the clamping collar draws the clamping collar down into the tensioning nut thereby forcing outwardly the struts and forcing the legs against the adjustable hard stops.

    Abstract: A testing system for testing high pressure fluid control products includes a testing chamber having a testing configuration in which an access door is in a closed position and contents of the testing chamber are contained for testing. The testing chamber includes a designated fitting testing area and a designated pipe testing area in fluid communication via an access window. The testing system also includes a set of interchangeable quick connect fixtures having similarly sized base ends and differently sized attachment ends. The designated fitting testing area includes a fitting test bench supporting at least one quick connect fixture for testing high pressure fittings, and the designated pipe testing area includes a pipe test bench supporting at least one quick connect fixture for testing high pressure pipes.
