    摘要: A rolling element bearing having a first ring element, a second ring element (3), a plurality of rolling elements arranged in a space between the first and the second ring elements such that the first and the second ring elements can rotate relative each other around a rotational axle. The bearing further includes a sealing ring for sealing off a circumferential opening of the space between the first and the second ring element. The sealing ring is connected to the first ring element and further arranged to rotate relative the second ring element of the rolling element bearing. The sealing ring provides a power generating system that provides at least one pick-up element arranged to generate electrical power when the rolling element bearing rotates. The power generating system is located completely within the circumferential opening of the space.

    摘要: Described herein are apparatuses, systems, and methods for a solar car. The exterior of the solar car is comprised of smoothly curved and continuous photovoltaic cells. The exterior car parts, e.g., roof, doors, hood, trunk and so forth, may include integrated photovoltaic cells, all manufactured in the shape of the corresponding car parts. The photovoltaic cells are meta-encapsulated in an edgeless manner, and may utilize superconducting anodes. A first encapsulate may be polychlorotrifluoroethylene, an extreme water barrier. A second encapsulate, e.g., silicone, may be a water barrier and shock absorber. A third encapsulate may be UV stabilized polycarbonate or low iron glass. A street legal solar car may be constructed upon an electric car chassis. A competition solar car has one or more hyper-efficient electric motors, that may utilize superconducting wire in their armatures. Superconducting wire may also be used in the vehicle chassis.

Each bearing includes a surface that extends parallel to the outer circumferential surface of the stator. The system includes a rotor supported radially outward of the stator and configured to rotate relative to the stator about an axis of rotation.

    摘要: A radial stabilizer is provided for stabilizing levitation passive bearing elements against lateral displacements. The stabilizer provides a means to introduce anisotropy in the radial stiffness of the stabilizer. The presence of anisotropic stiffness has a strongly stabilizing effect on whirl-type rotor-dynamic instabilities. The stabilizer design also provides a means for continuously monitoring the state of health of the rotor by signaling the onset of changes of balance that would be expected to precede any major failure.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a magnetic bearing device designed to achieve reduction in cost and size of a circuit by omitting a DC/DC converter that has been used for obtaining a control power voltage of a magnetic bearing, and to provide a vacuum pump having the magnetic bearing device. The magnetic bearing device has: position detection means for detecting a radial position and an axial position of a rotor; magnetic bearing means for controlling the radial position and the axial position with an electromagnet based on the radial position and the axial position detected by the position detection means; an excitation circuit that includes a switching element for connecting/disconnecting between the electromagnet and a power supply; electromagnetic current detection means for detecting a signal of a current flowing through the electromagnet; power supply voltage detection means for detecting a signal of a voltage of the power supply; and pulse width calculation means for calculating, at each timing, a pulse width for operating pulse control for the switching element. The pulse width is calculated based on the voltage of the power supply detected by the power supply voltage detection means and the current detected by the electromagnetic current detection means.
