摘要: An illumination device for emitting illumination light, comprising: a light-emitting diode (LED) for emitting LED radiation, a laser for emitting laser radiation, and a luminescent element for at least partial conversion of the LED radiation and the laser radiation into conversion light, which forms at least part of the illumination light. The LED, the laser and the luminescent element are arranged relative to one another in such a way that during operation of the illumination device, on an incidence face of the luminescent element, respectively in a time integral, the LED irradiates an LED irradiation area with the LED radiation and the laser irradiates a laser irradiation area with the laser radiation. The laser irradiation area has at least one intersection with the LED irradiation area.

摘要: A lighting device for a vehicle, in particular headlights for a vehicle, having a plurality of light sources, from which light is emitted during operation of the lighting device, projection optics for projecting the light, and a generator for generating a light distribution in the exterior of the vehicle, which has a soft transition in the vertical direction from a central region to the near field and/or the far field of the light distribution. The generator has a plurality of converters which change the wavelength spectrum of the light emitted from the light sources. The lighting device being designed in such a way that during operation of the lighting device, at least one first region of at least one of the converters is subjected to a greater luminous flux density of the light emitted from the light sources as a second region of the at least one converter.

摘要: An irradiation unit is disclosed that includes a pump radiation source for emitting pump radiation in the form of a beam, a conversion element for at least partially converting the pump radiation into conversion radiation, and a support on which the conversion element is situated. The support accommodates a through-hole through which the beam including the pump radiation is incident on an incident surface of the conversion element, the though-hole being laterally delimited by an inner wall face of the support, at least one portion of the face tapering in the direction of the incident surface. During operation, the pump radiation conducted in the beam is at least intermittently at least in part, incident on the inner wall face of the support and is reflected thereby onto the incident surface.

摘要: A light emitting device includes a wavelength conversion element, and an excitation light source which radiates excitation light to the wavelength conversion element. The wavelength conversion element includes a support member having a supporting surface, and a wavelength conversion member disposed on the supporting surface so as to be contained within the support member when the support member is viewed from the supporting surface side. An outer peripheral region on the support member, which is an outer peripheral portion of an arrangement region including the wavelength conversion member and is exposed from the wavelength conversion member, includes a light absorbing portion which can absorb first light having same wavelength as the excitation light or a light scattering portion which can scatter the first light. The arrangement region includes a reflective member which is disposed between the wavelength conversion member and the support member, and is different from the support member.

The photoluminescence element is configured to absorb the laser rays impinging on said element and by means of the photoluminescence to radiate secondary light rays. The lighting system includes a protection system with a protective element of an elongated shape having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end of the protective element is positioned within the beam direction of the primary light beam and downstream of the photoluminescence element.

摘要: A nitride-based light-emitting device includes, on a GaN substrate: a first-conductivity-side first semiconductor layer; an active layer; and a second-conductivity-side first semiconductor layer, in the stated order, and further includes an electron barrier layer of a second conductivity type between the active layer and the second-conductivity-side first semiconductor layer, the electron barrier layer including a nitride-based semiconductor containing at least Al. The electron barrier layer has a first region in which an Al composition changes. The Al composition in the first region monotonically increases in a direction from the active layer to the second-conductivity-side first semiconductor layer. An impurity concentration in the second-conductivity-side first semiconductor layer is lower in a region nearer the electron barrier layer than in a region farther from the electron barrier layer.
