摘要： A revolver-cylinder type jettison device for transporting and jettisoning buoys on and from aircraft which comprises a number of jettisoning tubes each adapted to be loaded either with a single long buoy or with a pair of short buoys, and to be brought selectively to the jettisoning position by rotating the revolver-cylinder so that the selected tube overlies a single and common ejection and guide barrel formed in the aircraft. Each tube comprises buoy wedging and retaining devices for the two loading modes, the wedging device being so arranged as to retract automatically during the jettisoning, the retaining device being actuated by a pair of release cylinders. The buoys are ejected under the control of a pair of ejection cylinders responsive to upper and lower arms, the lower arm being retractable.

摘要： The invention concerns a process and apparatus for transporting and dropping a plurality of charges contained in a single container. Within the shell of the container is arranged a plurality of modules, the bodies of which contain a charge, which may particularly be military; said modules are extracted one by one, upon command, through the rear of the shell. This extraction can take place only if a general mechanical control element has moved from a position called the "safety" position to a position called the "cocked" position, a movement which can take place only when the means for fastening the container has been released from the lug holding it to the carrier vehicle. The invention is applied particularly to modular bombs having fragmentable modules designed for neutralization of relatively widespread ground targets.

摘要： The invention concerns a mechanical and electrical coupling device for charges, particularly military charges. Such a coupling consists of a combination of hanging, steadying and electrical connection means arranged in such a way that the locking of the hanging means simultaneously and automatically ensures the steadying of the carried charge in all positions with respect to the carrier charge, as well as their electrical connection, without there being any need to perform adjustment operations. A plurality of charges may thus be firmly connected together for purposes of transporting them under an aircraft and subsequently ejecting them one by one, beginning with the one furthest from the aircraft. The invention is applied to the dropping of projectiles in strings.

摘要： Means permitting the fin-arming wire of a bomb to be permanently secured tohe bomb at one end rather than to the bomb rack or anything affixed to the aircraft. The means comprises a wire or cable looped back on itself and looped thru a metal ring at one end. The ends of the wire are fastened together near the loop by a crimp band which supports a sliding sleeve to which a long coiled spring is attached, the spring encircling the doubled wire up to a point near the other end and forming a second loop of wire there. A second sliding sleeve encircles the doubled wire at this other end forming the second loop and the spring is also attached to the second sliding sleeve. The spring is compressible so that the second loop can be temporarily enlarged.

摘要： A combined air flow deflector and diffuser assembly including a main flow deflector vane, a deflector base plate mountable adjacent the trailing edge of an open bomb bay or other cavity of a bomber aircraft, aerospace or other vehicle, and a plurality of support pylons interconnected between and supporting the deflector vane in space relation to the base plate immediately behind the bomb bay or other cavity-trailing edge in the path of, and diverting the airstream away from the vehicle body to thereby partially stabilize the turbulent flow at the shield area or airstream flow adjacent the cavity entrance and, simultaneously therewith, induce a substantial decrease of the excessive pressure oscillations that would otherwise occur within the cavity from the air stream flow passing the open cavity. Additional significant reduction primarily in the cavity pressure oscillations results from the formation of a series of divergent, air flow diffusing slots respectively between the base plate and flow deflector vane, and the support pylons and through which a portion of the air stream flows.
