摘要: A preparation method of a lanthanum-iron-loaded carbon nanotube film for environmental restoration is provided, it belongs to the technical field of composite materials. The preparation method includes: mixing carbon nanotubes with a lanthanum-iron mixed solution to obtain a suspension, then obtaining a first reaction solution by a constant temperature oscillation reaction; adding alkali liquor into the first reaction solution to obtain a second reaction solution by an oscillation reaction; carrying out a solid-liquid separation on the second reaction solution, adding the obtained solid after drying into an organic solution, and obtaining a third reaction solution by ultrasonic mixing; centrifuging the third reaction solution to obtain a supernatant; obtaining a lanthanum-iron-loaded carbon nanotube film by suction filtration. Compared with powdered adsorbent and single adsorbent, the material prepared by the preparation method has advantages of strong stability, high adsorption efficiency, good regeneration effect, high recycling efficiency, and low production.

摘要: A filter medium for removal of contaminants from wastewater. The filter medium includes a walnut shell particle having a metal hydro(oxide) nanoparticle bonded to the surface of the nut shell particle. The filter medium is particularly useful for treating produced water and wastewater generated in steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) in recovery of hydrocarbons from oil sands to remove total organic carbon and silica. Processes for preparing the filter medium and for treating wastewater using the filter medium are also provided.

摘要: The present disclosure provides novel solid sorbents synthesized by the reaction of polyamines with polyaldehyde phosphorus dendrimer (P-dendrimer) compounds for metal sequestration. The sorbents are highly stable and exhibit desirable thermodynamics and reaction kinetics with a wide variety of metals including heavy metals and rare earth elements. The sorbents can be easily regenerated for repeated use to extract metals from an aqueous solution. The materials are stable to aqueous and organic media, as well as strong acid and bases. The sorbents maintain full capacity over many cycles of use.

摘要: A composition for making composite adsorbents from a mixture of geopolymer, zeolite and activated carbon wherein a geopolymer material, a carbonaceous material, and an alkali activating agent are the components of the mixture. The alkali activating agent to carbonaceous material solid mass ratio is at least 0.25:1, respectively. A process for producing shaped composite adsorbents from the composition is done using conventional means such as mixing, shaping, extrusion and other methods. Alkali activation is used to convert the carbonaceous material to activated carbon, followed by hydrothermal treatment to convert the geopolymer material to zeolites. Shaped composite adsorbents fabricated from the composition of the instant invention are used for adsorption, purification, or other separation applications of liquids and gases.

The method yields a modified sawdust sorbent containing sulfonated and oxidized cellulose. The modified sawdust sorbent has a higher surface area, higher organic dye adsorption capacity, and more rapid organic dye adsorption rate than unmodified sawdust. Also disclosed is a method of using the modified sawdust sorbent for organic dye removal from water.
