    摘要: For changing the tool disk connected detachably and rotatably to the housing of a tool turret, a work-locating fixture is provided. The tool disk can be moved out of its work setting in which it is coupled with the drive shaft for rotation by a rotary drive. The tool disk movement is in the axial direction of the drive shaft away from the housing until the tool disk reaches transfer position. The drive shaft and a tie rod coupled to the drive shaft are then rotated by the rotary drive out of a connected setting into a detached setting. In the detached setting, the connection between the tie rod, which tie rod is slidable in its axial position relative to the housing and the tool disk, is disconnected, so that the tie rod can then be lifted out of the tool disk. Subsequently, the tie rod can be brought into engagement with another tool disk and then can be rotated by the rotary drive out of the detached setting into the connected setting, in which the tie rod is connected to positively lock in axial directions the tie rod with the tool disk. As a result of relative movement between the housing and the tool disk, the tool disk can be brought into its work setting and then can be clamped tightly.

    摘要: A clamping assembly for releasably holding a tool holder having a shank includes a tool support member having a bore extending along a longitudinal axis. A locking mechanism is disposed in the axial bore for securing the tool holder to the support member. The locking mechanism includes a lock rod having first and second contact surfaces mounted in the support member. The lock rod moves along the longitudinal axis between a locked position and a release position. A wedge rod is mounted in the support member for reciprocal movement along an axis angularly disposed with respect to the longitudinal axis. The wedge rod has first and second wedge surfaces which incline in parallel fashion from opposite edges of the wedge rod. First and second force transmitting elements are interposed between the wedge surfaces of the wedge body and the contact surfaces of the lock rod. When the lock rod is moved in first direction, the first force transmitting element is moved outward with respect to the transverse axis into contact with the first support surface and pushes the lock rod towards a locked position. When the wedge rod is moved in a second direction, the second force transmitting element is moved outward with respect to the transverse axis into engagement with the second contact surface of the lock rod and moves the lock rod towards a release position.

A piston is fixedly connected to the drawbar, and a pressure chamber is defined by the spindle shaft, the drawbar and the piston. Upon application of hydraulic pressure in the pressure chamber, the piston as well as the draw bar are moved in the tool holding direction. In one embodiment, at least one free piston is provided in the pressure chamber for dividing the same into first and second pressure chambers. The hydraulic pressure is applied to the first chamber to urge the free piston toward the second pressure chamber in which a liquid is hermetically accumulated. The liquid pressure within the second pressure chamber is increasable higher than the hydraulic pressure for urging the piston toward the tool holding direction with an increased force.

    摘要: A device for locking a tool to a cutting machine. During a locking action a drawbar is rotated to bring a radial lock pin into registry with oppositely directed bayonet slots formed in a tool that has been inserted into a pocket in the end face of a tool holder; a spring acts on the drawbar to move the lock pin into the bayonet slots. The lock pin is carried on a nose element that is threaded onto the drawbar for drawing the lock pin toward the drawbar to achieve an axial lock force between the tool and the tool holder. Tapered frusto-conical surfaces on the tool and holder produce a self-centering tapered sticking lock action. The oppositely directed bayonet slots allow the tool to be forceably dislodged from the sticking taper when the drawbar is rotated in a reverse direction.

    摘要: The actuating arrangement for a tool clamping device (1) has a clamping bar (3) which is axially displaceable in a clamping direction in a machine tool spindle (2) under the effect of a spring arrangement (11) and a firsst wedge transmission assembly (9) which is operable between the spindle and the clamping bar, with freely movable balls which bear respectively against three cone surfaces. In the release stroke movement in opposite relationship to the clamping direction a piston-cylinder unit (7, 8) initially acts on the clamping sleeve (13) and then also on an annular shoulder (3a) of the clamping bar (FIG. 1).
