摘要： An adapter for fitting a flywheel housing to a rotary load has a generally circular centering plate having a central circular aperture dimensioned to fit snugly around the load's collar and a circular outer periphery. The centering plate is formed with first and second arrays of holes equispaced from a center of the aperture. The first-array holes are spaced identically to and alignable with fastening formations of the load. An adapter plate engaged flatly with the centering plate is formed with a first array of at least two holes spaced identically to and alignable with the formations, and is stiffened. Respective fasteners are engageable, when the first-array holes of both plates are aligned with the formations of the load, through the adapter plate, centering plate, and fastener formations. The second-array holes of the circular centering plate are covered by the adapter plate when the plates are thus fastened together.

摘要： In a side-mount type vehicle alternator, the mounting faces of a larger stay and a smaller stay are arranged such that the fictive line, which runs through the center of a mounting hole on the mounting face of the larger stay and the center of the mounting hole on the mounting face of the smaller stay, is on the outside of an outermost surface of a front frame and a rear frame. Thus, the alternator is lifted up from an engine bracket and it is possible to make a large space. Hot air being exhausted from exhaust windows flows smoothly to the outside of the space.

摘要： A claw-pole type stepping motor comprises: a rotor assembly shaped substantially cylindrical, and having a center shaft; and a stator assembly composed of two cup-shaped stator units which are coupled to each other coaxially so as to axially sandwich the rotor assembly, and which each include a bobbin having a magnet wire wound therearound, and two pole tooth arrays magnetically connected to each other and shifted in phase from each other by an electrical angle of 180 degrees. In the motor, each stator unit further includes a cover ring which protects the magnet wire wound around the bobbin against resin injected when the stator unit is resin-molded for an integrated solid structure. The motor structured as described above can be successfully resin-molded so as to enable elimination of a motor case, thus achieving downsizing for the dimension of the eliminated motor case while maintaining a sufficient mechanical strength.

摘要： The present invention provides an outer rotor type motor for a drum type washing machine to reduce material and weight for fabrication, simplify fabrication process, provide stable assembly of a stator to a fixing side such as a tub or a bearing housing, prevent by assembly interference caused by a difference in the tips in assembling the upper and lower insulators the stator and enhancing loading efficiency of a cylindrical sleeve provided to inner circumference of fastening holes of the upper and lower insulators. The present invention includes a helical core having multiple layers formed by winding steel plates in a helix, the steel plate having a base portion with teeth projected from the base portion, an upper and lower insulators of an electric insulating material covered on upper and lower sides of the helical core in shapes complementary to shapes of the helical core, respectively, and at least three fastening portions formed as one body in each of the upper and lower insulators and projected from an inside of the helical core toward a center of the stator, wherein a boss forming a fastening hole for securing the stator to a tub wall with fastening members is provided, wherein a ridge portion, projected toward the confronting insulator, is provided to a vicinity of the boss, and wherein the ridge portions are pressed closely together in assembling the upper and lower insulators.

摘要： A cylinder/magnet assembly for a field of an electric machine, such as a stator of a brush type motor or a rotor of a brushless motor, alternator or generator, is formed by stamping a blank to form anchors extending upwardly from a surface of the blank and stamping holes in the blank where first and second portions of the anchors meet an inner surface of the cylinder to facilitate rolling of the cylinder from the blank. After a cylinder is rolled from the blank, pre-formed magnets are placed around an inner surface of the cylinder and plastic molded around the magnets and anchors to secure the magnets to the cylinder. In an aspect of the invention, the holes act as magnetic chokes. In another aspect of the invention, the anchors are formed as flux spreaders. In another aspect of the invention, the north and south poles of a cylinder and magnet assembly have unequal distribution angles. In another aspect of the invention, the north and south poles of a cylinder and magnet assembly have unequal numbers of magnets. In another aspect of the invention, flux spreaders are disposed on inner surfaces of the magnets of each pole of a cylinder and magnet assembly. In another aspect of the invention, the foregoing aspects are used in a stator of a motor. In another aspect of the invention, such a stator is used in a power tool.

摘要： A field case housing has an open end, an attachment member and a visual alignment associated with the open end. One visual alignment member option includes a longer elongated visual alignment member and a shorter elongated visual alignment member. Further visual alignment member option is a linear edge of the field case housing. An end plate is adapted to close the open end and has a cooperating visual alignment member formed into a surface of the end plate. The end plate is adapted to align the attachment members together upon visually aligning the alignment members together. An associated method which includes aligning the visual indicia of the field case housing with the visual indicia of the end plate with visual reference thereto and without reference to the plurality of attachment members is also provided.
