    摘要: A system permitting VT (Variable Time) fuze setting information to be transmitted thereto from a remote fire control source via a microwave link when the fuze is chambered in a gun barrel prior to the firing of an artillery shell to which the fuze is affixed. Sufficient microwave power is initially transmitted to the fuze by means of the barrel acting as a microwave transmission line wherein the microwave power received is converted to a DC voltage which is stored and used to bias the fuze circuitry which subsequently receives binary detonating data AM modulated on a microwave carrier.

The ultrasonic carrier is frequency-modulated to cause the resulting standing wave patterns in the structure to be spatially shifted at the modulation frequency and thereby avoid permanent vibration nodes at receiver locations. The invention has particular utility in munitions structures.

    摘要: A method of, and apparatus for, adjusting a projectile fuze after firing the projectile out of a weapon, wherein information is transmitted inductively from a transmitter mounted at the weapon to a receiver located in the projectile fuze. The passage of the projectile through a first element triggers the transmission of pertinent information and after such passage the information is computed and stored. Upon passage of the projectile through a second element the information is transmitted in the form of pulses to the receiver and the frequency of the pulses is coordinated to the time available during passage of the projectile so that all information can be transmitted within this time.

The wireless fuze setter interface provides fuze setting capability without the need for rotational or other physical alignment between the fuze and the fuze setter.
