摘要： A medical aspirator including an aspiration port, a reciprocating type electric pump for performing vacuum aspiration, a ventilation path which connects the aspiration port and the electric pump, an exhaust port, and an atmospheric pressure obtaining release valve for releasing a negative pressure in the ventilation path to obtain atmospheric pressure therein. The medical aspirator is particularly useful for percutaneous thrombus removal operation. A diaphragm pump is used as the electric pump. An electromagnetic valve is used as the atmospheric pressure obtaining release valve. The atmospheric pressure obtaining release valve is opened and closed in association with stopping and starting of the electric pump. A cell is provided as an internal power supply.

In one form, the delivery and aspiration system comprises an agent delivery sub-assembly, an aspiration sub-assembly and a device tip sub-assembly. The subassemblies operate to first deliver an agent contained within the device to an orifice cavity and after an optional time delay, subsequently aspirate the delivered agent and orifice contents from the orifice cavity and related areas. In another form, a removable reservoir is provided whereby the aspirated agent and orifice contents from the orifice are assayed either independent of or within the device itself.

A baffle rises from an interior surface of the housing to slightly below an opening to the third port. A first and second port of the housing on each side of the third port are in axial alignment. The first port is attached to an elastomeric bulb and the second port is adapted to be connected to an adapter which in turn is attached to an intubation tube. A calorimetric indicator paper is shown through a clear plastic cover after removing backing on the indicator paper through the second port.

摘要： In a peristaltic aspiration pump, a plurality of rollers are equally spaced apart from a rotating shaft and rotatable about the rotating shaft. The rollers sequentially compress and occlude an aspiration tube to generate a vacuum pressure within the aspiration tube. An irrigation-aspiration apparatus aspirates tissue to be removed together with an irrigation fluid supplied to an operated part via the aspiration tube, using the peristaltic aspiration pump. The peristaltic aspiration pump is driven under control to change the travelling speed of the roller in accordance with statuses of occluding the aspiration tube.

摘要： There is disclosed an apparatus (1) for use in a suction blister technique of sampling fluid from the human or animal body. The apparatus (1) comprises a cup (2) defining a chamber and having a rim portion (3) defining an aperture (5) communicating with the chamber. An annular flange (6) extends outwardly from the rim portion (3) whereby in use the flange (6) is sealingly attached to the body such that an area of skin closes the aperture (5). A ducted portion (11) is connected to the cup (2) and defines duct (12) which communicates with the chamber. The cup (2) further comprises a roof (4) which merges with the rim portion (3) and is formed of a resiliently deformable material having a shape memory which urges the roof (4) into an expanded configuration in which the roof (4) is held clear of the aperture (5). The roof is however deformable to a collapsed configuration in which it is proximal to the aperture (5).

摘要： A microsurgical irrigation/aspiration system is provided, including a controller having a pump roller head, actuators for occluding tubing, a suction sensor, and apparatus for mounting a pump cassette. The system cassette is suitable for mounting on the controller and has an opening with a pump tubing segment passing along an arcuate wall of the opening. When the cassette is mounted on the console, the roller head is engaged in the cassette opening and compresses the pump tubing segment against the arcuate wall. An infusion line passes through the cassette and is occludable by one of the actuators, and a vent line connected to the pump tubing segment is occludable by a second actuator. A suction sensing port on the cassette couples with the suction sensor in the controller.
