Abstract: A method for receiving system information, a method for transmitting system information by a Node B in a mobile communication system, a user equipment (UE) for receiving system information, and a Node B for transmitting system information by a Node B in a mobile communication system are provided. The method for receiving system information includes receiving system information comprising first partial bits of a system frame number (SFN) on a broadcast channel in a first subframe of a radio frame within a broadcast channel transmission period, the first partial bits having the same value during one broadcast channel transmission period comprising a plurality of radio frames; acquiring second partial bits of the SFN based on decoding the broadcast channel, the second partial bits having different values for different radio frames within the broadcast channel transmission period; and determining the SFN from the first partial bits and the second partial bits.

The System Frame Number (SFN) acquisition method of a terminal according to the present invention includes receiving a first message for adding a secondary cell of a secondary base station from a primary cell of a primary base station, receiving a Master Information Block (MIB) broadcast in the secondary cell, and acquiring a SFN information for the secondary cell from the MIB, and applying the SFN information to at least one cell of the secondary base station.

Abstract: A system and method provide a security aspect for a UE in dual connectivity mode of operation in wireless communication networks. The system and method provide secure simultaneous transmission and reception in a secure manner between a User Equipment (UE) and one or more eNodeBs (eNBs) configured in an inter-eNB carrier aggregation scenario. The system establishes of a security context between the UE and the Secondary eNB (SeNB) using the RRC signaling between the UE and the Master eNB (MeNB), when a plurality of SCells within SeNB are added simultaneously. The system also detects the intruder in the user data radio bearers, while a UE is operating in dual connectivity mode of operation.

Abstract: A system and a method that reports capability information regarding a dual mode User Equipment (UE) are provided. The UE supports Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) and Time Division Duplex (TDD). The UE capability transmitting method includes receiving a message requesting UE capability information from an evolved Node B (eNB), generating first capability information and second capability information according to the UE capability information requesting message, and transmitting UE capability information including the first and second capability information to the eNB. The first capability information comprises FDD capability information applicable to an FDD mode or TDD capability information applicable to a TDD mode. The second capability information comprises capability information applicable to both the FDD mode and the TDD mode. The system and method can allow a dual mode UE to efficiently report its capability information.
