Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for transmission of uplink channels with repetitions in a wireless communication system. A method includes receiving first information that includes a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) field associated with transmission of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The MCS field includes a number of bits, a first value of a first number of bits, from the number of bits, indicates a first number of repetitions for the transmission of the PUSCH, and a second value of a third number of bits, from the number of bits excluding the first number of bits, indicates an MCS index for the transmission of the PUSCH. The method further includes determining the first number of repetitions based on the first value; determining an MCS for the transmission of the PUSCH based on the second value; and transmitting the PUSCH with the first number of repetitions and the MCS.

A method for a user equipment includes receiving: first information indicating a configuration for reception of first signals or channels, second information indicating counting to determine a number of repetitions, and third information indicating a first number of repetitions for a transmission of a second channel. The method further includes determining: an availability of a slot for transmission of a repetition of the second channel based on the first information, a value of a counter of repetitions based on the second information, and an indication for transmission of the repetition of the second channel in the slot based on: the availability, the value of the counter, and the first number of repetitions. The method further includes transmitting the repetition of the second channel in the slot based on the indication.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmissions with repetitions. A method for operating a user equipment includes receiving first information indicating a configuration for directions of symbols and receiving second information indicating whether a repetition of a transmission is counted when the repetition of the transmission is canceled. The method further includes determining that a first repetition of the transmission includes a symbol with downlink direction based on the first information determining a counter number of repetitions based on the second information, and canceling the first repetition of the transmission.
