Abstract: Aspects relate to cross-carrier scheduling in wireless communication. A scheduling entity generates scheduling information that schedules a plurality of data transmissions to or from a user equipment (UE) on a first carrier having a first numerology. The scheduling entity then transmits the scheduling information to the UE on a second carrier having a second numerology different than (e.g., less than) the first numerology. The scheduling information is transmitted using control resources allocated based on slot indexes of a plurality of slots configured for communicating the data transmissions on the first carrier.

Abstract: A non-coherent communication system in which a transmitting device does not transmit a pilot/DMRS, such that the receiving device may be configured to determine or decode the information received from the transmitting device without performing any channel estimation. An apparatus for wireless communication at a receiving device receives, from a transmitting device, a non-coherent signal having data. The apparatus may determine data from the received signal without performing a channel estimation. In another aspect, an apparatus at a transmitting device divides an information payload including a set of bits into multiple subsets of bits, maps each of the multiple subsets of bits into a respective sequence of complex symbols, generates a non-coherent transmission signal based on the respective sequences, and transmits the non-coherent transmission signal to a receiving device.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for uplink control information (UCI) transmission for overlapping physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource assignments with repetition. A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes receiving scheduling to transmit on the PUSCH in a first one or more slots associated with a first number of repetitions and scheduling to transmit on the PUCCH in a second one or more slots associated with a second number of repetitions. The scheduled transmissions overlap in at least one slot. The method includes determining which channel to transmit UCI on and which channel to drop for each of the first and second one or more slots. The method includes transmitting or dropping the UCI in the first and second one or more slots in accordance with the determination.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may transmit a plurality of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communications in a same PDCCH monitoring occasion in a first cell, and may transmit a plurality of physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) communications in at least one of the first cell or a second cell. Each of the PDCCH communications schedules a respective PDSCH communication of the plurality of PDSCH communications. A PDCCH communication, of the plurality of PDCCH communications, includes an indication of a counter downlink assignment index that is based at least in part on a combination of a starting symbol and a cell in which an associated PDSCH communication is to be transmitted, a cell index of the cell in which the associated PDSCH communication is to be transmitted, and the PDCCH monitoring occasion. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify one or more slots in which an aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) report communication on a multi-slot physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) overlaps with a second communication on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). The UE may select for a slot of the one or more slots, an uplink communication from the A-CSI report communication or the second communication based at least in part on a first priority assigned to the A-CSI report communication and a second priority assigned to the second communication. The UE may determine whether to transmit the uplink communication on the multi-slot PUSCH or the PUCCH in the slot. The UE may transmit the uplink communication in the slot. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide for opportunistic uplink transmissions within a slot. In some examples, after scheduling all regular uplink transmissions within a current slot, a base station (e.g., gNB) may identify a set of unused uplink resources within the current slot and generate and transmit unused resource information identifying the set of unused resources to the user equipment (UE) within the cell served by the base station. If a particular UE is configured to operate in an opportunistic mode, the UE may utilize the unused resource information to generate and transmit an opportunistic uplink transmission within the set of unused uplink resources.
