    Abstract: In a method for generating a physical layer (PHY) data unit for transmission via a communication channel, information bits to be included in the PHY data unit are received. A number of padding bits are added to the information bits. The number of padding bits is determined based on respective virtual values of each of one or more encoding parameters. The information bits are parsed to a number of encoders and are encoded, using the number of encoders, to generate coded bits. The coded bits are padded such that padded coded bits correspond to respective true values of each of the one or more encoding parameters. The PHY data unit is generated to include the padded coded bits.

    Abstract: A wireless network includes a client device and an access point (AP). The client device generates a data packet having a physical layer protocol data unit frame format. The client device transmits the data packet to the AP such that a plurality of long training fields (LTFs) of the data packet is transmitted at higher power as compared to a data field of the data packet, and a preamble portion of the data packet is transmitted at higher power as compared to the plurality of LTFs. Further, the data field includes various resource units (RUs) and one such RU is utilized for data transmission between the client device and the AP. The transmission of the data packet from the client device to the AP in the aforementioned manner results in the range extension of the wireless network.

    Abstract: A wireless network includes a networking device and various stations. The networking device determines an available bandwidth of each station of the wireless network. Further, the networking device assigns a bandwidth and at least one spatial stream to each station. The bandwidth assigned to each station is less than or equal to the available bandwidth of the corresponding station. Further, the bandwidth assigned to one station is different from and partially overlaps with the bandwidth assigned to another station. Similarly, the spatial stream assigned to one station is different from the spatial stream assigned to another station. The networking device generates a data packet indicative of the bandwidth and the spatial stream assigned to each station of the wireless network, and transmits the data packet to each station to enable multi-user multiple-input-multiple-output (MU-MIMO) communication between the networking device and the stations.

    Abstract: A wireless communication device includes first and second links. The first and second links respectively include first and second sets of antennae having an arrangement that renders a null space of a channel matrix between the first and second links non-zero. When the first and second links operate on a first frequency band, the first link obtains first channel state information that indicates a first channel measurement of a first set of channels observed from the second link to the first link. Based on the first channel state information, the first link determines a spatial mapping matrix that facilitates null steering of a signal transmission from the first link in a direction of the second link. The first link transmits to a remote device, a wireless signal on the first frequency band based on the spatial mapping matrix.
