Abstract:
The apparatus includes a housing, a compression chamber disposed in the housing and having at least a first interface operable to vary a volume of the compression chamber, an expansion chamber disposed in the housing and having a second interface operable to vary a volume of at least the expansion chamber, and a thermal regenerator in fluid communication with each of the compression chamber and the expansion chamber. The thermal regenerator is operable to alternatively receive thermal energy from gas flowing in a first direction through the regenerator and to deliver the thermal energy to gas flowing in a direction opposite to the first direction through the regenerator. The compression chamber, the expansion chamber, and the regenerator together define a working volume for containing a pressurized working gas. Each of the first and second interfaces are configured for reciprocating motion in a direction aligned with a transducer axis, the reciprocating motion being operable to cause a periodic exchange of working gas between the expansion and the compression chambers. In one aspect, at least one of the first and second interfaces includes a resilient diaphragm, and a cylindrical tube spring coupled between the diaphragm and the housing, the tube spring being configured to elastically deform in a direction generally aligned with the transducer axis in response to forces imparted on the tube spring by the diaphragm to cause the at least one of the first and second interfaces to have a desired natural frequency. In another aspect the apparatus includes a first heat exchanger in communication with the expansion chamber, a second heat exchanger in communication with the compression chamber, the thermal regenerator is disposed between the first and second heat exchangers, and each of the first and second heat exchangers are peripherally disposed within the housing with respect to the transducer axis and configured to receive working gas flowing to or from the respective chambers and to redirect the working gas flow through the regenerator.
Abstract:
A proxy server automatically includes web applications in web pages at the network level. The proxy server receives, from a client device, a request for a network resource at a domain and is hosted at an origin server. The proxy server retrieves the requested network resource. The retrieved network resource does not include the web applications. The proxy server determines that the web applications are to be installed within the network resource. The proxy server automatically modifies the retrieved network resource to include the web applications. The proxy server transmits a response to the client device that includes the modified network resource. The network resource may remain unchanged at the origin server.
Abstract:
A cable exit trough is mountable to a lateral trough section either during initial assembly of the cable routing system, or at a later date. The exit trough includes a bracket portion mountable to the top edge of one of the sides of the lateral trough section. Two lead-ins are provided to lead the cable in an upward direction from the lateral trough section to the exit trough. The exit trough includes an exit trough portion extending from the bracket portion upwardly away from the lateral trough section. The exit trough portion includes a convexly curved bottom trough surface, and two convexly curved upstanding sides. The exit trough portion and the lead-ins define a cable pathway from the lateral trough section to an exit point of the exit trough portion which can either lead downwardly relative to the lateral trough section or horizontally.
Abstract:
Embodiments of methods and systems for monitoring stator winding vibration of a rotating electric machine are provided. According to one example embodiment, a system includes at least one sensor including at least one conductive sensor antenna deposited on a first side of at least one layer of a printed circuit board substrate and positioned to substantially face a stator winding, and a non-conductive shield mounted to an opposing side of the printed circuit board substrate and positioned to substantially face away from the stator winding. The system further includes an alternating current power source in communication with the sensor and operable to deliver current to the conductive sensor antenna. A signal processing unit may be in communication with the sensor, operable to measure a load on the sensor antenna and to transmit vibration data to a controller responsive to the load on the sensor antenna.
Abstract:
This document describes a computer-implemented method for guiding a user through a travel check-in procedure. The method includes receiving passenger identification information associated with a passenger checking in for a travel segment, and determining a check-in status of the passenger using the passenger identification information. The method also includes generating a check-in workflow based on the check-in status of the passenger. The method further includes providing for display on a user interface a current step in the check-in workflow, the current step corresponding to a current action in the check-in workflow to be completed by a user, and upon request of the user to continue to a next step in the workflow, providing for display on the user interface the next step in the check-in workflow, the next step corresponding to a next action in the check-in workflow to be completed by the user.
Abstract:
In a method of delivering time-sensitive, event-relevant digital content during a separate event being experienced by a user, content associated with the separate event is uploaded to a network, a sequence list is created from the newly uploaded content associated the event, and the sequence list is packaged in a mobile software application. The mobile application is delivered from the network to a mobile device of the user, and a setup for an event start time associated with the separate event is initiated so that a plurality of sequence events of event-relevant digital content, contained in the sequence list, are run in the user's mobile device in synchronization with the event start time of the separate event.
Abstract:
A detachable current and voltage sensor provides an isolated and convenient device to measure current passing through a conductor such as an AC branch circuit wire, as well as providing an indication of an electrostatic potential on the wire, which can be used to indicate the phase of the voltage on the wire, and optionally a magnitude of the voltage. The device includes a housing that contains the current and voltage sensors, which may be a ferrite cylinder with a hall effect sensor disposed in a gap along the circumference to measure current, or alternative a winding provided through the cylinder along its axis and a capacitive plate or wire disposed adjacent to, or within, the ferrite cylinder to provide the indication of the voltage.
Abstract:
An integrated development environment may be displayed on a display device. The integrated development environment may include functionality to add extension field(s) to business objects included in a business scenario. One or more of the business objects may be in a first system. In response to input indicating extension field(s), the extension field(s) may be added to business object(s) in the first system. A message may be sent from the first system to a second system. The message may include information associated with the extension field(s).
Abstract:
A search area to search business scenarios may be displayed on a display device. Business data flow(s) may be displayed on the display device based on a search criteria specified in the search area. Each business scenario defined for extension purposes may include a plurality of business objects. In response to identification of a business scenario from the business scenario(s), an integrated development environment may be displayed on the display device. The integrated development environment may include functionality to add extension field(s) to business object(s) included in the business scenario. In response to input indicating extension field(s), the extension field(s) may be added to the business object(s) included in the business scenario.
