摘要: One or more embodiments of the disclosure relate, generally, to a therapy management system including signaling outputs to present alarms, alerts, and/or notifications discernable by a user. A glucose sensor system may wirelessly transmit blood glucose data to a reusable accessory adapted to be reversibly connectable to an insulin injection pen or other insulin delivery device. A mobile device may control the signaling outputs to present the alarms, alerts, and/or notifications based, at least in part, the blood glucose data.

摘要: Some embodiments of an infusion pump assembly may be equipped with one or more components to facilitate wireless operation of an infusion pump via a user-operated mobile device. In some embodiments, the mobile device and/or the infusion pump may prompt the user to confirm acceptance of a wirelessly communicated command to prevent an operation by the infusion pump (e.g., a dispensation of medicine) that is not desired by the user.

摘要: Some embodiments of an infusion pump system may be configured to wirelessly communicate with other devices using near field communication (NFC). In particular embodiments, by incorporating near field communication capabilities into the infusion pump system, user communications with the infusion pump system can be enhanced and simplified.

摘要: Some embodiments an infusion pump system can be configured to control dispensation of medicine according to a closed-loop delivery mode that is responsive to feedback information provided from a monitoring device, and the infusion pump system permits a user to interrupt the closed-loop delivery mode for purposes of dispensing a user-selected manual bolus dosage.

摘要: Some embodiments an infusion pump system can be used to determine a user's total insulin load (TIL) that provides an accurate indication of the insulin previously delivered to the user's body which has not yet acted. In particular embodiments, the TIL can account for both the bolus deliveries and the basal deliveries that have occurred over a period of time. Such information may be useful, for example, when the infusion pump is operated in conjunction with a continuous glucose monitoring device.

摘要: A method includes receiving up-to-date blood glucose data for a PWD, determining basal insulin dosages for the PWD based on a baseline basal rate, delivering the basal insulin dosages to the PWD, modifying a target blood glucose level based on variability of blood glucose data for the PWD, receiving a temporary override indicating a user preference to reduce the likelihood that the PWD has a hypoglycemic event or a user preference to reduce the likelihood that the PWD has a hyperglycemic event, determining a temporary target blood glucose level based on the input—greater than the modified blood glucose level if the preference is to reduce the likelihood of a hypoglycemic event—lower than the modified target blood glucose level if the preference is to reduce the likelihood that of a hyperglycemic event. The method includes delivering basal insulin for the temporary period of time based on the temporary target.

摘要: Some embodiments of a medical infusion pump system include a pump device having a cap device that mates with a pump housing to retain a medicine cartridge therein. In addition to retaining the medicine cartridge in the pump housing, the cap device may perform a number of preparatory functions or safety functions. In addition or in the alternative, some embodiments of the pump device may include a drive system that advances a piston rod to dispense medicine to the patient in a safe and energy efficient manner.

摘要: Some embodiments of a wearable infusion pump system can include a pump device having a drive system to dispense a medicine to a user, an activity sensor that detects a possible change in an activity level of the user, and a controller to activate the drive system to dispense the medicine to the user. The controller device can query the user to indicate whether a detected activity level of the user represents an actual change in the activity level of the user. The controller device can alter the medicine dispensing schedule based on the user indicated changes in activity level.
