    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communications. A first CSI reporting configuration may be used for communications using TTIs of a first duration and a second CSI reporting configuration may be used for communications using TTIs of a second duration. A determination of whether to report CSI based on the first and/or second configuration may be made, and a CSI report may be transmitted based on the determination. In some cases, CSI for the first CSI reporting configuration is determined differently than CSI for the second CSI reporting configuration. For instance, the CSI reporting configurations may use different reference resources and/or reference signal resources when calculating respective CSI. In some cases, the first and second CSI reporting configurations may be configured as a first CSI process and a second CSI process, which may be operated either independently or jointly.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication for adaptive ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC) semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) are described. One method includes determining a data packet payload size for a transmission using SPS resources in a transmission time interval (TTI). The method also includes sending a release signal to release a portion of the SPS resources in the TTI based on the size and transmitting the data packet during the TTI using unreleased SPS resources. Another method includes identifying that a packet profile of packets transmitted on SPS resources varies by more than a packet profile threshold and sending, based at least in part on the identifying, a request-to-update (RTU) signal to update the SPS resources. The method also include receiving a confirmation of receipt of the RTU signal and updating a resource allocation or a resource attribute based at least in part on the packet profile and confirmation of receipt.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide a mechanism for rate-matching between overlapping resource block (RB) sets within a transmission time interval (TTI). A physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) carrying downlink control information (DCI) including a downlink assignment for scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) may be received by a user equipment (UE) within the TTI. In some examples, the DCI may be included within control channel elements (CCEs) located within shared resource elements between two overlapping RB sets. If the CCEs forming a decoding candidate over which the DCI may be detected are entirely contained within the shared resource elements, the UE may perform rate-matching around the two overlapping RB sets.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) techniques for enhanced machine type communication (eMTC). In one aspect, a method is provided which may be performed by a wireless device such as a user equipment (UE) for determining a HARQ ID. The method generally includes determining a HARQ ID based, at least in part, on a coverage enhancement (CE) level, and performing a HARQ process timeline based, at least in part, on the determined HARQ ID. Another method is provided for determining a subframe to transmit feedback. The method generally includes determining at least one subframe to transmit a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) to acknowledge one or more downlink transmissions based, at least in part, on availability of uplink subframes following one or more downlink subframes carrying the downlink transmissions to be acknowledged and transmitting the PUCCH in the determined at least one subframe.
