    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to providing frequency diversity for communications in an unlicensed spectrum are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, an opportunistic frequency-switching configuration for a first frequency band and a second frequency band. The first frequency band and the second frequency band are shared by a first network operating entity and a second network operating entity. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device, a first communication signal in a first frequency band based on the opportunistic frequency-switching configuration. The first wireless communication device switches from the first frequency band to a second frequency band based on the opportunistic frequency-switching configuration. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device after the switching, a second communication signal in the second frequency band based on the opportunistic frequency-switching configuration.

    Abstract: Logical channel prioritization and mapping to different numerologies is disclosed for 5G networks having multiple network slices operable for communication via logical channels associated with different numerologies. For user equipments (UEs) configured to handle multiple numerologies, different rules for mapping logical channels associated with different numerologies may be defined for data and non-data channels. Thus, when new data arrives at a UE for communication via a logical channel associated with a different numerology, the UE checks whether the mapping rules would allow multiplexing of the new numerology data onto an existing data channel. If no data channel has already been allocated or if an allocated data channel may not include data from the new numerology, then a mapping is followed for specifically requesting resources for communication of the new numerology data. The new mapping may trigger scheduling request or random access procedures specifically associated with the new numerology.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support techniques for release validation of uplink configured grants and semi-persistent scheduling (SPS). For example, downlink SPS and uplink configured grants may be released using non-fallback downlink control information (DCI). In such cases, a resource allocation field within the DCI may be based on a type of resource allocation configured for the UE, which may enable an invalid assignment to be indicated to the UE for release of the semi-statically configured communications. In other cases, the fields within the DCI may include predefined values that are used for indicating the release. A UE may validate whether the DCI activates or releases the downlink SPS or uplink configured grant based on the value of bit fields within the DCI.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support inclusion of layer 1 (L1) or layer 2 (L2) cell mobility information within a layer 3 (L3) handover command. A base station may transmit, to the UE, signaling indicating for the UE to perform a measurement on a first set of cells. The UE may perform the measurement on the first set of cells and may transmit, to the base station, an indication associated with the measurement on the first set of cells. In response to the indication, the base station may transmit, to the UE, an L3 handover command, where the L3 handover command may include L1 or L2 cell mobility information, such as an indication of a second set of cells that the UE is to use for L1 or L2 cell mobility after completing the L3 handover command.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment may monitor for a transmission over a set of periodically scheduled resources (e.g., semi-persistently scheduled resources)) of a downlink shared channel in an unlicensed spectrum. The user equipment may receive the transmission, where the transmission indicates a channel access configuration (e.g., a listen-before-talk configuration) for accessing the unlicensed spectrum. In some cases, the transmission may include a medium access control (MAC) control element (MAC-CE) that indicates the channel access configuration. The transmission may additionally indicate at least one uplink channel over which the user equipment may transmit a message and/or a channel occupancy time associated with a successful acquisition of the unlicensed spectrum by the base station. The user equipment may transmit a message (e.g., an acknowledgement) based on the channel access configuration.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication of at least one first beam and at least one first antenna panel of the UE, to use for one or more first transmissions, and of at least one second beam and at least one second antenna panel of the UE, to use for one or more second transmissions. Accordingly, the UE may communicate the one or more first transmissions, with the base station, using the at least one first beam and the at least one first antenna panel. Additionally, the UE may communicate the one or more second transmissions, with the base station, using the at least one second beam and the at least one second antenna panel.
