Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of scheduling information for dedicated on-demand system information (SI) corresponding to a specified UE category, wherein the indication is carried in at least one of: a minimum system information (MSI) communication, a radio resource control (RRC) message, a response message of a two-step random access channel (RACH) procedure, a random access response (RAR) message of a four-step RACH procedure, a contention resolution message of a four-step RACH procedure, a message type flag indicating the transmission of the dedicated on-demand SI, or a combination thereof; transmit, to the base station, an on-demand SI request based at least in part on the scheduling information and the UE category; and receive one or more on-demand system information blocks. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support feedback for multicast communications. A user equipment (UE) in a group of UEs may receive multicast information from a base station in a downlink (DL) transmission scheduled by a DL grant. The DL grant may also indicate a set of uplink resources for the group of UEs to use to transmit feedback. The UE may attempt to decode a message containing the multicast information in the DL transmission. If the UE determines the message was successfully decoded, the UE may send no feedback to the base station. If the UE determines the message was not successfully decoded, the UE may transmit a feedback message to the base station to indicate the message was unsuccessfully decoded. The base station may monitor for the feedback message and determine to retransmit the multicast information if the feedback message is received.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station and a user equipment (UE) may support coexistence of more than one radio access technology (RAT), where one of the RATs supports shortened transmission time intervals (sTTIs). Efficient techniques are described for enabling a coexistence between sTTIs associated with a first RAT and TTIs associated with a second RAT. The techniques may include indicating a layout that can accommodate the RATs, multiplexing subslots and slots for the RATs, rate-matching for the second RAT based on signaling around sTTI resources, dropping sTTIs for the first RAT or TTIs for the second RAT based on a collision of processing the TTIs or sTTIs, a single uplink operation for the UE, transmitting uplink control information for one RAT with an uplink channel for the other RAT, configuring power control settings for the first and second RAT, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: Uplink control channel transmission in a shared radio frequency spectrum band may be transmitted using different uplink resources UCI based on a format of uplink control information (UCI) to be transmitted in the uplink control channel transmission. Different time resources, frequency resources, or combinations thereof, for the transmission of UCI by a UE may be provided by a base station and selected by the UE based on a UCI format. The resources to be used for UCI transmission may semi-statically configured, or dynamically indicated to a UE. Uplink transmissions may be configured in interlaces of frequency resources, with each interlace having one or more segments, and a base station may configure different segments for transmission of different format UCI. In some cases, different subframes, or different component carriers, may be configured for different formats of UCI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station and while operating in a dual connectivity mode, an uplink grant in a first subframe of a set of subframes. The uplink grant may schedule transmission of uplink data. The UE may determine a second subframe of the set of subframes to transmit the uplink data and a third subframe of the set of subframes to monitor for feedback associated with transmission of the uplink data. The second subframe and the third subframe may be determined based on combinations of a primary cell time division duplex (TDD) uplink-downlink (UL-DL) configuration and a DL-reference UL-DL configuration. each of the combinations may have at least three uplink transmission subframes or three downlink monitoring subframes within a ten-subframe cycle. The UE may thus perform wireless communications in accordance with the transmission timelines.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may determine that a phase-tracking reference signal (PTRS) will not be transmitted based at least in part on a mapping value associated with transmitting the PTRS, and may identify another mapping value associated with transmitting the PTRS, wherein the other mapping value is different from the mapping value. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may identify a symbol in which a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) is to be muted, and may map, based at least in part on a mapping value configured on the wireless communication device, a PTRS relative to the symbol in which the DMRS is to be muted. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for resource selection supporting user equipment (UE)-shared multicast feedback. In some systems, a UE and a base station may support multicast communications. The base station may configure a set of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources that the UE may use for multicast feedback messages. The base station may transmit an indication of the set of PUCCH resources to the UE, and the UE may determine to use a PUCCH resource of the set of PUCCH resources based on one or more indications from the base station. The UE may fail to receive a multicast message from the base station and may transmit a UE-shared negative acknowledgment (NACK) feedback message. The base station may re-transmit the multicast message according to a set of transmission parameters that is based on which PUCCH resource was used by one or more UEs for multicast NACK feedback.

Abstract: The techniques described herein provide procedures at user equipment (UEs) for performing channel state information (CSI) reporting and sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions based on an ultra-reliable low latency communication (URLLC) block error rate (BLER) target and for reliably receiving PDCCH transmissions. For CSI reporting, a UE may be configured to generate a CSI report based on a BLER target and on received CSI reference signals (CSI-RSs), where the CSI-RSs may be transmitted on one or more groups of quasi co-located antenna ports. For SRS transmissions, a UE may be configured to transmit SRS based on an SRS configuration determined based on a BLER target. For receiving PDCCH transmissions, a UE may be configured to receive and combine DCI received from multiple base stations.
