    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for identification reinterpretation in sidelink control information (SCI) are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit to a second UE or device, on a sidelink channel, SCI. The SCI may include a partial source and destination identifier fields and may indicate to the second UE to apply a first interpretation of multiple different interpretations for the partial source identifier field and the partial destination identifier field. For example, the SCI may indicate to interpret the partial source identifier field and the partial destination identifier field in combination as a source identifier field, as a destination identifier field, or as a partial source identifier and a partial destination identifier. The UE may transmit a medium access control (MAC) packet including a MAC header with identifier fields set to be complementary to the SCI.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Disclosed techniques provide for reliable and secure sharing of configuration parameters over physical layer reference signals. A first network node may transmit a first signal conveying a first phase to a second network node. The second network node may transmit a second signal conveying a second phase, the second phase based on the first phase and an authentication parameter common to the first and second network nodes. The first network node may determine that the second phase is based on the first phase and the authentication parameter. Based on determining that the second phase is based on the authentication parameter, the first network node may transmit a third signal conveying a third phase to the second network node, the third phase indicating a signature parameter. The first network node and the second network node may communicate based on the signature parameter.

    Abstract: A configuration for an originating wireless device to transmit one or more MAC-CEs, where each of the one or more MAC-CEs include information related to the number of MAC-CEs transmitted. The apparatus transmits at least one of a plurality of related MAC-CEs to a second wireless device based on a determination of at least a first path of a plurality of paths to transmit the at least one of the plurality of related MAC-CEs. The at least one of the plurality of related MAC-CEs indicates a number of the plurality of related MAC-CEs transmitted by the first wireless device. The apparatus monitors for a response MAC-CE from the second wireless device based on a transmission of the at least one of the plurality of related MAC-CEs. The response MAC-CE corresponds to an activation of the MAC-CE transmitted to the second wireless device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. For example, the described techniques provide for a base station of a wireless communications system to determine a configuration for a repeating device to forward signals to another device. In some examples, the configuration may be based on a number of repeating devices in the wireless communications system. The base station may also transmit a message for the repeating device to forward. In some examples, based on a buffering capability of the repeating device, the base station may transmit the message with a zero time offset relative to the control signaling. The repeating device may receive and process the control signaling and receive and buffer the message. In response to processing the control signaling, the repeating device may transmit the buffered message to another device. Implementing aspects of present disclosure may enable an increased efficiency of forwarding in wireless communications systems.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides techniques for uplink resource management. For example, a method of wireless communication by a first communication device is provided including receiving, from a second communication device, a configuration allocating at least one uplink resource for use by the first communication device to transmit data on an uplink. The method further includes initiating preparing data for transmission on a first uplink resource of the at least one uplink resource prior to receiving an activation indication for the first uplink resource. The method further includes when the activation indication is received from the second communication device, transmitting uplink data on the first uplink resource to the second communication device. The method further includes when failing to receive the activation indication from the second communication device, refraining from transmitting uplink data on the first uplink resource.
