    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for multiple radio access technology (RAT) carrier aggregation (CA), such as Long Term Evolution (LTE)-New Radio (NR) CA. The method, in one example, comprises generating a first resource coordination information (RCI) comprising one or more resource coordination bitmaps indicating one or more shortened transmission time intervals (sTTIs) of a TTI assigned to the first RAT for communication, wherein the TTI comprises a plurality of sTTIs. The method further comprises transmitting a message including the first RCI to a second base station that uses a second RAT. The method further comprises receiving an acknowledgement of the message from the second base station, the acknowledgment including a second RCI comprising one or more modified resource coordination bitmaps indicating the one or more sTTIs assigned to the first RAT for communication and one or more additional sTTIs of the TTI assigned to the second RAT.

    Abstract: Various aspects and features provide waveform design and signaling support that provide and facilitate high accuracy positioning determination by low powered devices (e.g. UEs) in NR and IoT by allowing UEs to request on demand positioning operation support from a base station and the base station to dynamically configure parameters associated with a positioning reference signal (PRS) for transmission to the UEs. A UE may transmit an indication of its positioning requirement and/or capability information to a base station. The base station may configure parameters associated with a positioning reference signal (PRS), for example, a waveform type of the PRS, based on the indication and transmit the PRS to the UE. The UE may receive the PRS having the configured parameters and may perform at least one of UE positioning, ranging, or a UE velocity determination based on the received PRS.

    Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for mobility mode selection in uplink-based and downlink-based mobility in wireless communications systems. In an aspect, a method for wireless communications may include determining that a user equipment (UE) is operating in a first mobility mode, determining whether the UE satisfies at least one condition associated with mobility of the UE for mobility mode selection, and selecting a second mobility mode based on a determination that the UE satisfies the at least one condition, wherein each of the first mobility mode and the second mobility mode is an uplink mobility mode or a downlink mobility mode. The techniques described herein may apply to different communications technologies, including the 5th Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) communications technology.

In one aspect, a method is provided which may be performed by a wireless device such as a base station (BS).     Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to allocating resources for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). In a first example, a subset of a resource set corresponding to a PUCCH is identified based on an explicit mapping of acknowledgment resource indicator (ARI) values, and a resource index corresponding to a resource within the subset is derived based on an implicit mapping of the resource index. A PUCCH communication is then transmitted via the resource. In another example, a user equipment (UE) is configured to ascertain resources for a PUCCH in accordance with an explicit mapping of ARI values and an implicit mapping of a resource index such that the explicit mapping facilitates an identification of a subset of a resource set, whereas the implicit mapping facilitates a derivation of the resource index to identify a corresponding resource within the subset.
