摘要: One example includes a forecast engine that generates forecast data that characterizes predicted operating conditions of an energy storage system for a given time period in the future, wherein the predicted operating conditions are based on a load history for a power consuming premises coupled to the energy storage system and on a value history for power provided to and consumed from a power grid. The load history of the power consuming premises characterizes unmetered power transferred to the power consuming premises, metered powered transferred from the power grid to the power consuming premises and metered powered exchanged from the energy storage system to the power grid. In the example, a schedule manager generates an operation schedule for operating the energy storage system. The operation schedule includes charge and discharge patterns for an energy storage source that are tuned to curtail power costs and/or elevate power revenue value.

摘要: Systems and methods of the present disclosure involve passive, hybrid, and active filtering configurations to mitigate current harmonics for various electrical loads. One hybrid filtering configuration is medium voltage (MV) active filtering using a DC-DC converter and a multi-level inverter, and low voltage (LV) passive filtering. Another hybrid filtering configuration is MV passive filtering and LV active filtering using a two-level inverter. An active filtering configuration includes both MV and LV active filtering. The present disclosure also features power distribution unit (PDU) transformers electrically coupled to respective power supplies on the LV side of an electrical system. Each PDU transformer includes primary coils in a delta configuration and secondary coils in a wye configuration. The secondary coils are in series with respective leakage inductance coils. The secondary coils and the leakage inductance coils are integrated together into a single unit or module.

摘要: For grid-connected power converter control, a method estimates a d-axis grid voltage from a d-axis reference current modified with a d-axis current, and a q-axis current modified with a filter inductive reactance. The method generates a q-axis grid voltage from a direct current (DC) voltage input modified with the DC bus voltage modified with a notch filter to balance the voltage input and further reduced with the q-axis current. The method modifies the estimated d-axis grid voltage and the q-axis grid voltage by selectively removing second-order harmonics. The method further determines a d-axis voltage output and a q-axis voltage output as a function of the modified estimated d-axis grid voltage and the modified q-axis grid voltage.

摘要: A system includes a generator configured to be electrically coupled to a grid, a transmission configured to mechanically couple the generator to a prime mover, a converter circuit configured to be electrically coupled between the grid and an energy storage device, and a controller configured to control the converter circuit and the transmission. The controller may operate the converter circuit to source or sink power in response to a change on the grid meeting a criterion. The controller may be further configured to adjust a transmission ratio of the transmission based on a demand on the generator. The controller may also be configured to cause the transmission to mechanically decouple the generator from the prime mover while maintaining an electrical coupling of the generator to the grid so that the mechanically decoupled generator can contribute current to a fault on the grid.
