    Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for sending an email along with a scanned document from a multi-function device. The method includes retrieving at least one email file from at least one of an external storage device and a file location, wherein a user creates the at least one email file at a computing device; automatically filling an email content, and one or more recipients from the at least one email file in an email job; displaying, via a user interface, the email job includes the auto-filled email content including an email subject and an email body, and the one or more recipients; scanning, at least one document; automatically attaching the at least one scanned document to the email job; and sending the email job including the email content along with the at least one scanned document to the one or more recipients directly through the multi-function device.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an image reading apparatus including: a scanner that scans originals by a batch-scan that are placed on an original table; an original reading circuitry that reads an image of each of the scanned originals, and control circuitry, wherein the control circuitry executes a continuous multi-crop process according to a selection by a user, and when the continuous multi-crop process is executed, the control circuitry displays on the display one operation key that receives an instruction to start the next scan and another operation key that receives an instruction to end the reading respectively every time each batch-scan is executed to enable the batch-scan to be repeatedly executed until receiving the instruction to end the reading, and handles the images of the originals read by the repeated batch-scans as a series of image data.

    Abstract: Provided is an information processing apparatus capable of combining the addition of a plurality of items in an original file in various forms, and outputting the file. A storage unit correlates additional content identification information for identifying additional content that is content added to the original file or content after change; additional content manager information for identifying a manager of the additional content; and add location identification information for identifying a location where the additional content is to be provided in the original file with the additional content and stores the information. A control unit provides the additional content that is extracted from a file other than the original file based on the additional content identification information, or that is acquired from the manager based on the additional content manager information to the original file based on the add location identification information, and causes the file to be outputted as the output target file.

    Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which is stored machine readable instructions executable by the processor to detect edges of a scanned object image. The instructions may also cause the processor to determine, based on the detected edges, that a feed skew has occurred on the scanned object image. In addition, based on a determination that the feed skew has occurred, the instructions may cause the processor to identify curved edges of the scanned object image, de-curve the identified curved edges through horizontal scanline scaling of the scanned object image to form a de-curved image, and produce a corrected image through vertical scanline scaling of the de-curved image.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for dynamically correcting image distortion during imaging of a patterned sample having repeating spots. Different sets of image distortion correction coefficients may be calculated for different regions of a sample during a first imaging cycle of a multicycle imaging run and subsequently applied in real time to image data generated during subsequent cycles. In one implementation, image distortion correction coefficients may be calculated for an image of a patterned sample having repeated spots by: estimating an affine transform of the image; sharpening the image; and iteratively searching for an optimal set of distortion correction coefficients for the sharpened image, where iteratively searching for the optimal set of distortion correction coefficients for the sharpened image includes calculating a mean chastity for spot locations in the image, and where the estimated affine transform is applied during each iteration of the search.
