    摘要： A low profile tensionable bolt cable system and method of installation. The tensionable bolt cable has a tension cylinder with a constant diameter throughout its length and a threaded exterior. A bearing plate is provided with an opening and a first mating member. The tension cylinder has a proximal and a distal end with the proximal end having an angled interior surface and a longitudinally extending second mating member. The first and second mating members mate when the tension cylinder is inserted into the bearing plate. Angled wedges are inserted into the angled interior surface. A cable is inserted into the tension cylinder and between the wedges to hold the cable with respect to the tension cylinder to prevent the cable from twisting. A nut is threaded onto the tension cylinder, to tension the cable.

    摘要： A rock bolt is for use in stabilizing a rock face. The rock bolt comprises a body having a plurality of elongate lobes spaced apart by substantially resilient channel means. The rock bolt is further configured to receive expansion means for urging the lobes outwardly to thereby expand the rock bolt for improving a communication with a bore hole in the rock face. Following expansion the expansion means may be removable, the expansion means can comprise any suitably sized hollow or solid bar expansion member. The configuration of the present invention also enables, subsequent to an initial expansion, the resilient channel means to provide a gripping force on any suitably sized member inserted into the internal space. This feature of the rock bolt allows for a mesh plate having an elongate portion to be securely and removably fitted to the rock bolt after the rock bolt has been expanded.

    摘要： A truss shoe for a roof support system includes a bolt receiving section, an intermediate section, and a housing having a threaded rod engaging section. The threaded rod engaging section has a passageway having a first open end spaced from, and in facing relationship to, the bolt receiving section and an opposite second end. The passageway has a threaded portion extending from the first end of the passageway toward the second end. A stop member is positioned spaced from the first open end of the passageway. With this arrangement, the end of the threaded rod passes through the space between the first open end of the passageway and the stop member into engagement with the stop member, whereby all of the threads of the threaded portion of the passageway are in engagement with the threads of the threaded bar.

    摘要： The present invention is directed to sealable rock bolts that prevent water leakage through the bolt, a kit containing portions of such bolts prior to assembly, installation, and use, and a method of using such sealable rock bolts. Such rock bolts are fastened in place in a roof, wall, or bottom of an underground region via pressure fitting or the like. The rock bolt contains a sealing unit that contains a liquid water activated, expandable hydrophobic pre-polymeric resin. The sealing unit has side, top, and bottom portions that are degradable by water to permit the resin to expand upon contact with water and to seal the bolt to prevent water passage through the bolt.
