Abstract: A tilt tower and pipe auger anchor assembly comprising a tilt tower having a mast and a swing tube and a coax cable engaging both the mast and the swing tube, the mast has a near end, the near end has a mast flange plate with fastener holes therethrough. A pipe auger anchor has walls defining a generally hollow elongated body having a near end and a removed end, the near end including a pipe auger anchor flange plate mateable with the mast flange plate. The pipe auger anchor flange plate has fastener openings therein and fixedly attached to the near end perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the hollow elongated body and an auger at the removed end. The auger provides a penetration force when the body is rotated and the auger is engaged with the ground.

Abstract: A support tower, particularly for a wind turbine. The support tower has at least a first elongated component which is internally hollow and at least a second elongated component which is slidably coupled to the at least a first elongated component and movable relative to the at least a first elongated component at least between a retracted position. The second elongated component is at least partially inserted in the at least a first elongated component, and an extracted position, where the at least a second elongated component is substantially extracted from the at least a first elongated component. A moving device for moving the second elongated component from the retracted position to the extracted position, and vice versa, and a blocking device configured to allow the at least a second elongated component to be blocked in the extracted position, are also provided.

Abstract: A method of modular pole construction an elongate modular pole structure is disclosed. A first step of the method involves providing hollow tapered pole section modules, each module having a first open end and an opposed second open end. A cross-section of the second end is less than a cross-section of the first end. The modules are stacked to form an elongated modular pole structure of a selected length by mating the second end of a first module with the first end of a second module. The first and second modules may have different structural properties, such that poles having desired structural properties can be constructed by selectively combining modules having differing structural properties.

Abstract: A connector element for a tubular mast assembly, a tubular mast assembly and a kit therefore, methods of assembling and disassembling, a guide device and a spreader are provided. In an aspect, a tubular mast assembly comprises first and second members each comprising a shell resiliently biased in the form of an elongate tube having longitudinal edges defining a slit along its length. A connector element comprising a first socket receives an end of the first member and a second socket receives an end of the second member so as to connect the first and second members into an extended tubular form. Each member can be disconnected from its socket and its shell opened out at the slit to assume a flattened form in which it can be wound into a coiled form for stowing the assembly.

An exemplary system for rotating a vessel may further include a linear actuating mechanism that may be coupled to a bottom edge of the tail end frame. An exemplary linear actuating mechanism may be configured to drive a translational movement of the bottom edge of the tail end frame along a first axis. An exemplary system for rotating a vessel may further include a double-pivot link that may be pivotally connected between a top edge of the head end frame and a fixed revolute joint. An exemplary double-pivot link may be configured to rotate the top edge about the fixed revolute joint responsive to the translational movement of the bottom edge of the tail end frame along the first axis.

Abstract: A wind turbine tower includes a plurality of tower sections axially aligned and connected together. Each tower section includes an inner wall having a tapered cylindrical shape concentrically positioned within an outer wall having a tapered cylindrical shape. An annular space is defined between the inner wall and the outer wall, and a layer of concrete is disposed within the annular space. A plurality of post-tensioning cables extend longitudinally within the annular space or outside the outer wall, such that a first one of the tower sections is connected to a second one of the tower sections by a plurality of the post-tensioning cables.

Abstract: A fastener for fastening parts together. The fastener has a shaft, a head and movable members that spring outwardly from the shaft to firmly capture the parts between the members and the head upon insertion of the fastener into aligned holes in the parts. No threading step is necessary. The movable members may be retractable into the shaft to facilitate insertion into holes corresponding in size to the shaft. The members may have a contact surface sloping away from the head and forming a tapered space between the members and the head so that the outward spring bias tends to reduce the space and maintain tightness of the joint. The fastener may be operatively deployed by a single insertion step.

Abstract: The present disclosure, in one or more embodiments, relates to a drilling rig with a self-elevating drill floor. The drilling rig may have one or more jacking systems that may operate to raise the drill floor. The one or more jacking systems may raise the drill floor to a height sufficient to accommodate a substructure such as a substructure box. A substructure box may be placed, and the one or more jacking systems may lower the drill floor onto the substructure box. Substructure boxes may be placed beneath the drill floor, using the one or more jacking systems, until a desired drill floor height is reached. In some embodiments, the one or more jacking systems may additionally operate to move the drilling rig, for example between adjacent wells on a pad drilling site. The jacking systems may operate to move the drilling rig using walking feet or another mechanism.

The hydraulic boom includes a first arm and a second arm, and a grapple is coupled to a distal end of the second arm. The grapple is configured to grasp a respective utility pole. In addition, the horizontal frame includes a front portion and a rear portion that are configured to extend apart from each other to increase a length of the horizontal frame.
