摘要： A weft cutting device in a shuttleless loom is provided with a plate-like cutting member which after completion of beating is caused to move between a pair of weft guide members and across the weft held in position by stepped portions provided for the guide members. Escapement of the weft from the stepped portion is prohibited by an escapement preventing member located near the guide members. Weft is sufficiently tensioned by a tensioning member disposed near the cutting member and engaging weft earlier than the cutting member.

摘要： The thread storage and supply arrangement comprises a storage drum having a peripheral thread storage surface onto which is to be wound a succession of adjoining turns of thread, the thread storage surface comprising a thread infeed region at one axial end of the storage surface and a thread outfeed region at the other axial end. A thread infeed structure located at the thread infeed region guides thread onto the peripheral storage surface to form a succession of adjoining turns of thread. A thread outfeed structure located at the thread outfeed region feeds off the storage drum thread which is to be pulled off. The peripheral storage surface, at the thread infeed region thereof, curves radially inward in the direction from the infeed to the outfeed region and, at the thread outfeed region thereof, curves radially outward in the direction from the infeed to the outfeed region. Relative rotation between the storage drum, on the one hand, and the infeed and outfeed structures, on the other hand, is effected by a controllable drive motor or by a controllable coupling which can be coupled to a continuously operated drive motor. An electrooptical control device activates and deactivates the motor or coupling in dependence upon the extent to which thread is wound about the peripheral storage surface of the storage drum.

摘要： A device for monitoring the travel of yarn-like structures at a textile machine comprises a cantilever member vibrating in a flexural mode when excited by a traveling yarn which is in contact with the upper or free end of said cantilever member. The lower end thereof is rigidly connected or integral with a rigid base member having the effect of a seismic mass when exposed to shock or vibration. Moreover, soft elastic material is provided to prevent transfer of such shock or vibration from the textile machine to the cantilever member. A mechano-electrical transducer element, e.g., a piezoelectric element, is comprised by or coupled with the cantilever member for generating an electrical yarn travel signal. A casing may be provided for protecting said cantilever member against ambient noise and other undesired actions acting from outside the casing.

The weft end is retained in the guide slot of the shuttle supply drum which was occupied by the previous shuttle before it was shot through the shed. The device comprises - mounted on a single support - a pair of elastic resilient laminae, biased into mutual contact with an adjustable pressure knob and arranged in the path of the weft thread being supplied, for engaging said thread between them and providing for the braking thereof, and an oscillating lever ending with a threadguide, through which eye is passed the weft thread, after engagement between said laminae and before reaching carrying members, said oscillating lever being adjustably urged by spring means to move away from said laminae and from said members, in order to take up slack in said weft thread when it exists.

摘要： In a weaving loom of the type having program controlled weft selector means, a weft-yarn drawing-off and length-measuring apparatus comprising a detachable length-measuring roller. A pressing roller is in rolling contact with the length-measuring roller and movable relative to the length-measuring roller such as when the length-measuring roller is to be replaced with another roller having a different diameter. A roller guide mechanism including a parallelogrammic four-bar linkage contains the pressing roller to move in an arc. A weft guide mechanism is provided and is operative to move a weft yarn into and out of a position passable between the rollers. A control mechanism operated by the weft selector means drives the weft guide mechanism into and out of a condition providing the aforesaid position of the weft yarn.
