摘要： A duplex printing apparatus capable of printing by performing a slow-up operation on the printing speed so that it increases from a low speed to a set speed at the time of duplex printing. Control means controls, on the basis of a drum rotation position signal and a drum speed signal from a home position sensor and an unshown encoder sensor, a sheet feeding unit, printing unit, sheet discharge unit, sheet re-feeding means and switching member, such that the printing speed (drum speed) slows up from a low speed to a set speed in each rotation of a plate cylinder, which corresponds to feeding of each sheet to the printing unit when duplex printing is started, and further controls a stepping motor of the sheet re-feeding means such that conveyance speed of a sheet receiving board synchronizes with the printing speed.

摘要： A stencil printer includes at least an upstream and a downstream printing section, as seen in the direction of sheet conveyance, each including a print drum and a press roller for pressing a sheet against the print drum. An intermediate conveyor, positioned between the upstream and downstream printing sections, conveys the sheet from the former toward the latter. A dual master, formed with a first and a second image, is wrapped round the print drum of the upstream printing section. 摘要： A stencil printer operable in a duplex print mode of the present invention prints an image on one side of a sheet and then prints another image on the other side of the same sheet. The printer includes at least one print drum and at least one press roller facing the print drum for pressing the sheet against the print drum. When the press roller is used to press the other side of the sheet against the print drum, the press roller is implemented as an elastic body provided with a fluorine compound layer on the surface thereof.

摘要： A thermal master making device includes a thermal head having a plurality of heating elements arranged in an array in the main scanning direction. The thermal head is caused to contact a stencil including a thermoplastic resin film. While the master is fed at a preselected feed pitch in the subscanning direction perpendicular to the main scanning direction, the heating elements selectively heat and perforate the film of the stencil in accordance with image data to thereby form an image in the stencil in the form of a dot pattern. A pitch at which the heating elements are arranged and the feed pitch are substantially equal to each other. The heating elements each have a length in the subscanning direction smaller than one-half of the feed pitch inclusive and have a length in the main scanning direction greater than the length in the subscanning direction. The device is capable of stably forming desired perforations in the stencil and extending the life of the heating element and therefore the life of the head. In addition, the device needs a minimum of master making time and therefore operates at a high speed.

摘要： A printer of the type wrapping a master around a print drum and pressing a sheet against the master with the print drum or a press drum is disclosed. A sheet clamper is arranged on the press drum. A timing sensing device for allowing the leading edge of the sheet to be fed toward the sheet clamper at a preselecting timing is arranged on the press drum or a member associated therewith. With this configuration, the printer causes the sheet clamper to surely clamp the leading edge of the sheet and prevents the sheet from rolling up. In addition, the printer feeds the sheet at a preselected timing with stability and reliability and thereby enhances accurate registration.
