    摘要: A prescription drug printing machine is used by a physician in connection with prescribing one or more prescription drugs to a patient. The printing machine has a memory unit that contains a database of information on all known available prescription drugs, including a colored pictorial representation of each of the available drugs. Each of the colored pictorial representations is a substantially similar replica of the drug it depicts. Preferably, the colored pictorial representation is an exact replica of the actual drug, containing the drug's exact color, shape and size. The printing device includes a first and second printing means for printing a prescription drug form and a patient receipt, respectively. Both of the prescription drug form and the patient receipt include the name of the drug, a colored pictorial representation, and other information. The prescribing physician inspects each of these documents for accuracy before handing them both over to the patient. Patients remit their prescription drug form to a pharmacist and retain the patient receipt for comparison with drugs that are prepared for them by the pharmacist. The printing machine has storage means for storing information concerning the prescription drug form in the memory unit of the printer, in order to keep accurate patient records. The printing device optionally includes translating means for translating the prescription drug information into a foreign language.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a film transfer tool that allows a transfer head to be disposed in any of the spaces between letters of normally used word processors for implementation of a smooth transfer operation of film. The film transfer tool includes a feed reel and a take-up reel, which are adapted to interlock with each other. The reels are disposed within a case, and a film transfer tape is fed out from the feed reel to be moved along a surface while being pressed thereagainst by a transfer head protruding from the case. The transfer tape is then taken up by the take-up reel. The film transfer tool also includes a support frame and a transfer roller to rotatably extend between facing side pieces of the support frame and having an outside diameter ranging from 1 mm to 3 mm.

    摘要: In color graphics printing, incompatible inks, such as true black and color inks, tend to bleed across color field boundaries. Moreover, in four-color systems, there is a discontinuity in the physical color gamut, as distinguished from the logical color gamut, associated with the redundant color. A method is disclosed for alleviating both problems by adjusting image data prior to dithering. The method slightly shifts the logical color indicated in the image data so as to avoid the discontinuity that arises with neutral colors. Preferably, in a four-color printing system, yellow is depleted in the image data, so that after dithering, more dots of blue ink are printed in a given area than would be printed otherwise. For each pixel, the amount of correction is inversely related to the color saturation. The presence of blue ink dots within the substantially black field reduces bleed along the field edges.

    摘要: A small printer is disclosed which contains a character member, such as a character ring or a character belt. The character member comprises a plurality of character bodies which are connected by coupling portions and which comprise dot-like projections which form dot characters. The small printer also has a device to rotate the character member in order to place a desired dot character body which contains the dot character to be printed between a hammer and a piece of paper. Subsequently, the hammer strikes the desired character body and the dot character is printed on the paper. Since the small printer has the above-described construction, the small printer is less expensive and smaller than conventional printers.

The print wires required to print a particular image are thrust toward a platen successively upon receiving a print timing signal, where each print timing signal is delayed from the previous print timing signal by a predetermined time interval t. The delay of each print timing signal is based on the time required for a surface wave, caused by the impact of print wires on the platen, to pass lengthwise across the platen and is selected to be less than one-half the surface wave travel time.

    摘要: A character composed of basic symbols such as a Korean character is outputted by an apparatus so as to adjust to an outputted design or outputted design alteration. The apparatus includes an input device for inputting a plurality of binary codes, each binary code corresponding to a respective one of the basic symbols; an output device for outputting the character; a detecting circuit for detecting an indication code for supplying a space character from among the binary codes; a first calculating circuit for calculating the number of basic symbols; a converting circuit for converting the number of characters into a number of outputted units with respect to the size of the basic symbols; a second calculating circuit for calculating the supplying number of space characters by subtracting the number of outputted units from the number of basic symbols; and a supplying circuit for supplying a space character code to the output device, the number of space character codes being equivalent to the supplying number, the supplying circuit operated on or after an indication code has been detected by the detecting circuit. It is possible for the apparatus to output an output data representing Korean characters, space characters and other basic symbols, the output data being in accordance with an input data representing Korean alphabet symbols and other basic symbols.
