Abstract: Disclosed is a telephone headset that features a metalized anechoic chamber so that noises provided therein can be combatted with antiphase noises. In some embodiment, the anechoic chamber may be constructed of metallic flake mixed into or with a sound attenuating or absorbing material like, for example, silicone. Suitably, the headset can be adjusted to fit an inclusive range of head dimensions comfortably, the headsets may be wired directly or connected wirelessly to the user's phone to ensure operation and communication.

Abstract: Apparatus for protection of the ear and ear canal, and related methods of use and operation. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a selectively actuated valve which permits a varying or modulated size of aperture to be created by the wearer while the apparatus is in use, so as to accommodate varying functions, such as complete occlusion (e.g., for use in swimming or other acquatic activities such that water can be completely excluded) or partial occlusion (e.g., such that sounds can be heard by the wearer, whether in air or under water). In one implementation, the apparatus is retained within the ear canal of the wearer by virtue of the apparatus' shape and coordination with one or more natural features or contours of the anatomy in the ear region, without having to be inserted more than superficially into the outer portion of the ear canal.

Abstract: A proximity sensing headphone may include a gyroscopic sensor to determine the motion of the headphone structure and a proximity sensor to determine the movement of an external object through a three-dimensional ambient environment. A proximity sensing headphone control circuit determines the relative motion or movement between the headphone structure in the three-dimensional ambient environment and the external object in the three-dimensional ambient environment to determine at least a distance between the headphone structure and the external object and a velocity of the external object through the three-dimensional ambient environment about the headphone structure. The control circuit may provide an alert output if the determined distance between the headphone structure and the external object is less than a defined distance threshold or the velocity of the external object through the three-dimensional ambient environment about the headphone structure exceeds a defined velocity threshold.

Abstract: Disclosed is a telephone headset that features an antiphase/anti-noise speaker within an anechoic chamber so that noises provided therein can be combatted with antiphase noises. In some embodiment, the antiphase/anti-noise speaker can be an exciter. In some embodiments, the headset is designed to include passive and active noise cancelation of a use's voice. Suitably, the headset can be adjusted to fit an inclusive range of head dimensions comfortably, the headsets may connect wirelessly to the user's phone to ensure cable free operation and communication.
