Abstract:
In order to freely select, locate and display an image from a remote place on a monitor to facilitate observer's use, disclosed are apparatus and methods arranged to perform operation of drag and drop of a symbol to a specific position on a map showing the symbol indicating information of the position where an image generator is set, thereby establishing logical network connection with a video transmission terminal to which the image generator is connected, to display a video in an arbitrary display area, to perform the drag and drop operation of the video displayed in the video display area to another video display area, thereby changing a video display position, and to perform the drag and drop operation thereof to a display stop symbol, thereby disconnecting the logical network connection to stop the video display of the video camera.
Abstract:
A computer especially suitable for use as a video-based security system includes video inputs, a processor and a network connection. The video inputs are each configured to receive an electronic video signal from a video camera. The processor operates on a digital representation of the electronic video signals from the video inputs. When the computer detects motion in the electronic video signals it generates a compressed representation of the video signal that includes the motion. The compressed representation is transmitted through the network connection.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing immersive surveillance wherein a remote security guard may monitor a scene using a variety of imagery sources that are rendered upon a model to provide a three-dimensional conceptual view of the scene. Using a view selector, the security guard may dynamically select a camera view to be displayed on his conceptual model, perform a walk through of the scene, identify moving objects and select the best view of those moving objects and so on.
Abstract:
A priority controlled network wherein a plurality of sensor terminals, at least one display terminal, and control circuit are interconnected by a network, and within each sensor terminal is a priority determining unit to which are supplied data from one or more sensors in the sensor terminal, and parameters controlling the priority determining from the control circuit, whereby priority determining by said priority determining unit is obtained by using said data and said parameters so that a particular priority value is determined for each of the plurality of sensor terminals and selected priority value data are displayed in the at least one display terminal and capacity of said network is optimally used where more than one display terminal is provided.
Abstract:
A video surveillance system is provided, including a wheeled trailer, a lockable cabinet mounted on the trailer and a mast, coupled to the trailer and capable of being folded for storage and transport and capable of being extended vertically. A plurality of video cameras are mounted on the mast, a screen splitter is located within the cabinet and receives video images at each of the plurality of cameras and combines the plurality of images into a single video image at an output. A video recorder located within the cabinet and having an input coupled to the output of the screen splitting device records the combined image from the screen splitter.
Abstract:
A vehicle surveillance system comprising a plurality of digital cameras mounted on a vehicles's interior and exterior for photographing the dashboard, the interior environment of the vehicle and exterior views around the vehicle to eliminate blind spots inherent to the vehicle's mirrors. A monitor mounted on a front panel of the vehicle displays photographed images. A removable image memory saves the photographed image information. A sound memory stores a plurality of predetermined sounds, including voice sounds, a sound detector detects sounds in close proximity to the vehicle, a sound analyzer compares a detected sound to the sounds stored in the sound memory; and an alarm generator generates an audible alarm through a speaker to the exterior of the vehicle when the sound analyzer determines the detected sound corresponds to one of the stored sounds.
Abstract:
Monitoring apparatus for a security system comprises a monitor 21 and twelve video cameras C1 to C12. An effects unit 20 includes a buffer memory 24 and a set of 13 video compression units 23. Twelve of these units generate twelve zones of small size for displaying small complete images on the monitor from the video camera outputs, and the 13th generates a central zone of larger size. Selection means 25 select any desired one of the camera outputs for display as the large image.
Abstract:
A video processing apparatus includes a video analyzer that analyzes video data captured by a surveillance camera, detects an event belonging to a specific category, and outputs a detection result, a display controller that displays, together with a video of the video data, a category setting screen for setting a category of an event included in the video, and a learning data accumulator that accumulates, as learning data together with the video data, category information set in accordance with an operation by an operator to the category setting screen. The video analyzer performs learning processing by using the learning data accumulated in the learning data accumulator.
Abstract:
Monitoring systems and methods for use in security, safety, and business process applications utilizing a correlation engine are disclosed. Sensory data from one or more sensors are captured and analyzed to detect one or more events in the sensory data. The events are correlated by a correlation engine, optionally by weighing the events based on attributes of the sensors that were used to detect the primitive events. The events are then monitored for an occurrence of one or more correlations of interest, or one or more critical events of interest. Finally, one or more actions are triggered based on a detection of one or more correlations of interest, one or more anomalous events, or one or more critical events of interest. A hierarchical storage manager, having access to a hierarchy of two or more data storage devices, is provided to store data from the one or more sensors.
Abstract:
A method for displaying video streams involves detecting multiple video events, and displaying multiple video streams on a display. Display windows for displayed video streams define an ordered sequence of display windows. When a new event is detected, the display of one or more of the video streams is shifted to respective next one or more display windows in an ordered sequence of display windows.
