摘要: An example electronic device includes a memory. An electronic list of baseline items and a description of an arrangement of the baseline items associated with a room are stored in the memory. The baseline items and the description of the arrangement of the baseline items are generated based on room usage information and a classification of an individual using the room. A camera is provided to capture a digital profile of the room. The digital profile includes a stock of items and an arrangement of the items monitored in the room. A processor is communicatively linked to the camera. The processor is to compare the digital profile to the electronic list and generate an alert when the digital profile is different than the electronic list.

摘要: An inventory management system and method using RFID tags for the tracking and management of individual items of inventory or work-in-process. The system uses a cloud-based service device to manage inventory at a facility via a communications hub. RFID printers, RFID readers, and antennas located at the facility relay information through the communications hub. Movement of items is monitored by tracking RFID tags associated with each item. Information on the tracked items may be recorded, displayed, and used to generate reports and notifications by the cloud-based services device. Historical tracking records may also be displayed.

摘要: A wireless tag communication device includes a directional antenna, a communication control circuit configured to communicate with a wireless tag through the directional antenna, a camera positioned such that a direction along which a signal strength of the directional antenna is maximized and a shooting direction of the camera coincide with each other, and a controller. The controller is configured to estimate a tag direction where the wireless tag exists, estimate a position of the wireless tag communication device, estimate a position of the wireless tag based on the estimated tag direction and the estimated position of the wireless tag communication device, and control a display to display a first image captured by the camera and a second image showing an explicit area containing the estimated position of the wireless tag.

摘要: Systems and methods for location estimation and tracking for passive RFID and wireless sensor networks in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, a process for obtaining location information using an RFID reader system includes transmitting a combined interrogation and ranging signal from a plurality of antennas, where the ranging signal is a pseudorandom signal, receiving a backscattered return signal from an RFID tag at one or more receive antennas, extracting an information signal from the return signal and decoding the information signal to obtain RFID tag data, extracting a received ranging signal from the return signal, and estimating a range to the RFID tag based upon correlation between the ranging signal and the received ranging signal.

摘要: The present invention discloses a system and accompanying method for directing the movement of an object on an interactive surface through a defined path. The system includes an object embedded with a unique identification code (UID), a movement module, and a distinct pattern of capacitive tabs near the surface of the object that makes contact with the interactive surface, an interactive surface configured to recognize the UID, location and orientation information of an object placed on the interactive surface, and a processor operatively linked to the interactive surface and configured to direct, track and correct the movement of the object along a defined path on the interactive surface by tracking the UID, location and orientation of the object continuously and throughout the movement. A centralized control mode is applied in the present invention, which makes the structure of the electronic hardware within the moving object substantially simplified, which leads to a decreased manufacturing cost, and, from an aesthetic point of view, the logic clearer and easily understood.

摘要: Systems and methods for tracking a subject using radio-frequency identification (RFID). In an embodiment, an antenna array comprising a plurality of articulating brackets and a plurality of antennas is provided. Each of the articulating brackets is configured to move one of the plurality of antennas into a plurality of positions, and each of the antennas is configured to receive a RFID signal. In addition, a processor receives RFID data based on RFID signals received by the antennas of the antenna array, and determines a trajectory of a subject based on the RFID data. Based on the determined trajectory of the subject, the processor controls one or more of the articulating brackets to move one or more of the antennas into a position to track the subject.

摘要: In some examples, a reader system is provided for managing inventory items in an inventory system. The reader system may be configured to read tags associated with items stowed in an inventory holder. The inventory holder may be detachably coupled to a mobile drive unit. The mobile drive unit may move the inventory holder to a first position near an antenna of the reader system and the tags may begin to be read. While reading or at other times in the reading process, the mobile drive unit may move the inventory holder relative to the antenna. The identified tags may be compared to a manifest list of items expected to be stowed in the inventory holder.
