    摘要： A longitudinally-seamed flexible hose-pipe capable of withstanding internal water pressure is formed from transverselycurled strip material having mutually engageable continuous longitudinal edge formations which when engaged couple the edges of the curled strip together to form a sealed longitudinal seam. The hose-pipe may be used in conjunction with a former device of a construction arranged to part locally the seam of a length of the flexible hose-pipe which is connected to a hydrant, so as to form a local leak in the seam through which water is withdrawn by the probe. In this arrangement a vehicle carrying the former and the probe can advance along the length of the hose-pipe, tapping off a supply of water through the progressively-advancing local leak produced by the former device as it moves along the length of the pipe. The steering of the machine may be controlled automatically by reference to the line of the hose-pipe so as to steer the machine along the length of the pipe.

    摘要： A manifold trailer comprises at least one main line having a plurality of discharge connectors and a plurality of articulating arm assemblies which are each connected to a corresponding discharge connector. Each arm assembly comprises a connector member which includes an inlet port, an outlet port and a third port which is located generally opposite the outlet port and is closed by a removable plug member. Each arm assembly also includes an articulating conduit assembly which comprises a first end that is connected to the inlet port and a riser swivel which is connected to the outlet port. During deployment of the arm assembly, a second end of the conduit assembly is connectable to a pumping unit to thereby fluidly connect the pumping unit to the main line.

    摘要： A swivel fitting is specifically configured for mounting a pressure regulator and a solenoid to a valve having a female threaded solenoid mounting port. The swivel fitting includes a generally cylindrical upper body having a first female threaded bore for having a male threaded neck of either a solenoid or a pressure regulator screwed into the first bore. A generally cylindrical lower body is mated to the upper body and has a male threaded segment for screwing into the female threaded solenoid mounting port of a valve. A swivel body surrounds and encloses the upper body and the lower body and has an extension with a second female threaded bore for having the male threaded neck of either the solenoid or the pressure regulator screwed into the same. The swivel body is freely rotatable relative to the cylindrical bodies. A pair of valve seats in the swivel body and communicating ports and chambers allow the solenoid to open and close flow through the valve and the pressure regulator to regulate flow through the valve when the solenoid and the pressure regulator are each screwed into one of the first and second bores.
