摘要: A variable area nozzle assembly includes a fixed center plug, a fixed outer nozzle, and an inner nozzle. The fixed center plug includes a seal. The inner nozzle is disposed between the fixed center plug and the fixed outer nozzle. The inner nozzle includes an inner nozzle body. The inner nozzle body forms a primary duct between the inner nozzle and the fixed outer nozzle. The inner nozzle body forms a secondary duct and a gap. The gap is a nozzle outlet of the secondary duct. The secondary duct is disposed between the inner nozzle body and the fixed center plug upstream of the seal. The inner nozzle body forms a plurality of apertures. The inner nozzle body is translatable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the primary duct has a first cross-sectional area and the plurality of apertures are isolated from the gap by the seal. In the second position, the primary duct has a second cross-sectional area and the plurality of apertures are connected in fluid communication with the gap.

摘要: An exhaust nozzle for a gas turbine engine according to an example of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a duct having a first surface and a second surface extending about a duct axis to define an exhaust flow path, and at least one effector positioned along the first surface. The at least one effector is pivotable about an effector axis to vary a throat area of the exhaust flow path. The at least one effector tapers along the effector axis. A method of exhaust control for a gas turbine engine is also disclosed.

摘要: A variable-section nozzle for an aircraft nacelle includes a deformable portion of which is movable between a narrow section position and a wide section position. In particular, the variable-section nozzle includes piezoelectric actuators and a controller to control the piezoelectric actuators in order to displace the deformable portion between the narrow and wide section positions. The piezoelectric actuators can be disposed on at least one faces of the deformable portion or be disposed end-to-end to form actuating rods.
