    摘要: Steam (preferably clean steam) having less noncondensible gases than steam produced by conventional black liquor flashing is produced from hot black liquor from a digester of a pulp mill. A heat exchanger is utilized and the hot black liquor is passed through the heat exchanger in heat exchange contact with an evaporable liquid, preferably clean water. After the water is heated in the heat exchanger it is flashed in at least one flash tank where the heat exchanger is a liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger. The heat exchanger may alternatively include an evaporator (such as a falling film evaporator) in which case the black liquor is passed through an inductor before it enters the evaporator. Alternatively, the heat exchanger may be one or more boilers, such as kettle boilers, in which case the black liquor preferably passes through a cooler after the boilers. Heat energy and turpentine recovery are also maximized.

    摘要: A process of improving the heat efficiency by condensation of vapor in concentrated chemical solutions, according to which vapor and a concentrated chemical solution are introduced into an absorber comprising a cooler/condenser. In accordance with the invention, the condensate formed in the condensation process is utilized to dilute the concentrated chemical solution in the absorber, and the heat of condensation and the heat of solution generated from the dilution step are recovered by heat exchanged thereof with a heat-absorbing medium. A plant for performing the process is described, comprising an absorber (1) and a cooler (condenser) associated therewith, and at least one heat exchanger (3) having an inlet and an outlet for supply and withdrawal of a heat-absorbing medium. The plant has at least one inlet to the absorber (1) for supply of concentrated chemical solution, at least one inlet to the absorber (1) for supply of vapor, and at least one outlet from the absorber for withdrawal of a diluted chemical solution obtained through condensation of vapor and the chemical solution in the absorber (1).

    摘要: The number 2 flash tank of a black liquor energy recovery system associated with a continuous pulp digester is eliminated, and other advantages are obtained. After flashing in the number 1 flash tank, concentrated black liquor passes to a multiple effect evaporator system as the heating fluid supplied to the last effect. The heated black liquor passes in heat exchange relationship with excess make-up liquor from the high pressure feeder circulation system and/or with portions of the extracted black liquor that have had more of their content removed, the heated black liquor effecting evaporation of the excess make-up liquor and/or portions of the black liquor. Steam from the steam relief of the steaming vessel may be used as a secondary heating fluid source for the first effect.

    摘要: The invention relates to a process of increasing the solids content of black liquor at its recovery in a sulfate pulping process. According to the invention, the liquor is first heated at a pressure which is so high that no boiling occurs at the heating temperature, after which the liquor is led to a tank where its pressure is released to a value below the saturation pressure of steam at the relative temperature of the liquor such that water is evaporated. The liquor thus concentrated can be led to the liquor combustion in the recovery process.
