摘要: An apparatus for preventing or minimizing decompression illness in a scuba diver, consisting of a first safety bar, at least one first cable attached to the first safety bar, and an oxygen delivery system. The first cable supports the first safety bar at a predetermined depth. The oxygen delivery system consists of an oxygen tank, an oxygen delivery line, a manifold attached to the oxygen delivery line, and a plurality of regulators attached to the manifold. When the oxygen delivery system will be used by only one scuba diver, the oxygen delivery line can be connected directly to a single regulator without the manifold. The first cable and oxygen tank are attached to a float, which is either secured to a boat or platform via a tether line or anchored to the sea floor. In an alternative embodiment, the first cable is attached directly to a boat or platform, and an oxygen supply is provided on the boat or platform. In another alternative embodiment, the apparatus further includes a second safety bar connected to the first safety bar by at least one second cable, which supports the second safety bar at a predetermined depth below the depth of the first safety bar. In yet another alternative embodiment, the apparatus further includes a plurality of safety bars connected in series to the second safety bar by a plurality of cables, which support the plurality of safety bars at predetermined depths below the depth of the second safety bar.

摘要: Provided is a diver's information processing device for notifying a diver of a change in a pressure decrease ratio, at which pressure decreases during surfacing, for the purpose of minimizing the risk of a diver's decompression sickness and excess pulmonary expansion. In particular, when diving is performed at a high altitude, notification is made so that a pressure decrease ratio will be held lower than a pressure decrease ratio permitted at a low altitude. A diver's information processing device 1 includes means that uses a pressure meter 61 and a timer 68 to calculate a pressure decrease ratio. Moreover, the diver's information processing device 1 includes means that uses an acoustic notifier 37, a vibration generator 38, and a display panel 11 to continuously notify a pressure decrease ratio, at which pressure applied to a diver decreases during surfacing, for the purpose of minimizing the dangers of diver's surfacing.

摘要: Device for and method of dive monitoring, wherein the pressure in a diving flask of a breathing equipment and the ambient pressure which the diver is exposed to at the respective water depth are detected. A decompression computing means is used to determine the respective decompression stops which the diver has to observe in surfacing, and how much time surfacing will require altogether. A performance index is derived from the variation of the pressure versus time in the diving flask, which index is a measure of the physical work performed by the diver. This performance index is supplied to the decompression computing means and is considered in the calculation of the total surfacing period.

摘要: The respective partial pressures of an inert gas in the tissues of a human body different in saturation half-time are calculated from the sensed ambient pressure during diving. The respective remaining times of the tissues up to the non-decompression limit are calculated from the obtained partial pressures of the inert gas and are displayed simultaneously on a graphic display.

摘要: A system for conveying information to an underwater diver wearing a mask. The information is conveyed via a field of view display system which places the information at the glance of the diver through the viewing window of the diving mask. Included are sensors for measuring the pressure in the dive tanks, for sensing the depth of the diver, and for sensing the ambient temperature of the surrounding environment. A microcomputer processes the sensed information and displays it to the diver as well as interpreting the information to provide advice such as safe assent rates which will allow the diver to avoid decompression sickness and the remaining safe dive time. The display placed within the field of view desirably includes an optical arrangement for placing an image of a visual array at a long focus distance, preferably at infinity, in relation to the eye of the diver and for magnifying the actual image of the visual array means such that the diver can readily observe the image of the visual array. The present invention keeps the diver informed of important information without the diver's attention being diverted from the surrounding environment and without requiring additional movement or effort from the diver.
