Abstract: The disclosure describes a head wearable air purifier including a filter assembly, a motor-driven impeller for creating an airflow through the filter assembly to obtain a filtered airflow downstream of the filter assembly, and an ear assembly arranged to be worn over an ear of a user, the ear assembly comprising at least one light source for emitting light in a far UVC portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. The air purifier also includes a nozzle attached to the ear assembly, the nozzle comprising a nozzle inlet arranged to receive the filtered airflow downstream of the filter assembly, and a nozzle outlet for emitting the received filtered airflow from the head wearable air purifier. The at least one light source is arranged to illuminate at least part of the nozzle for the decontamination thereof.

Abstract: A helmet includes a helmet body and a gas detection and purification device. The gas detection and purification device in includes a body, a purification module, a gas-guiding unit, a gas detection module, and a power module. The gas detection module calculates the gas detection data obtained by the gas detection module so as to control the gas-guiding unit to start or stop operation based on the gas detection data. When the gas-guiding unit is in operation, the gas-guiding unit guides the gas into the body and to pass through the purification module for being filtered and purified to become a purified gas, and the gas-guiding unit discharges the purified gas out of the body to the nose portion, or the mouth portion, or both the nose portion and the mouth portion of the wearer for providing the wearer with the purified gas to breath.

Abstract: Provided is an electrically active breathing mask. The mask contains conductive layers separated by insulating layers, the conductive layers being alternatingly positively or negatively charged. Air passing through one insulating layer is directed across the surface of a next charged layer, before flowing through a next insulating layer, and so on. Particles including virus in water vapor or sputum are evaporated as they contact alternately charged layers.

Abstract: A filter mask for filtering air inhaled and exhaled from the mouth and nostrils while providing a secure fit and comfort to the wearer is provided. The filter mask has upper and lower edges which are provided with at least one malleable stiffener for conforming to the shape of the wearer's nose and cheek area and/or the lower jaw and chin area. In some embodiments, the filter masks further comprises a malleable stiffening member configured to conform the filter material to at least a chin portion and a jaw portion of the face. In some embodiments, the malleable stiffener can have a bend portion, which allows the wearer of the mask to know which part, center and side of the mask is to be properly placed on the nose and cheek area. The masks provide excellent filtration and provide a secure and comfortable fit to the wearer.

Abstract: A personal neck-wearable device is configured to direct a curtain of protective air around the face of a wearer in use to prevent or reduce inhalation of airborne particles and pathogens. The air may be purified using filtration. In an embodiment, the air may be ionised using high voltage to ionise the air molecules with negative ions (anions) having one or more extra electrons, thereby negatively charging the air molecules. The curtain of ionised air molecules surrounds the face of the user and attracts airborne air particles by electrostatic attraction. These particles are then attracted to the nearest surface away from the mouth and nose to thereby reduce the likelihood of inhalation.

Abstract: There is provided an ear cup including a housing containing a filter assembly and a motor-driven impeller for creating an airflow through the filter assembly, the housing including an air outlet downstream from the filter assembly for emitting the filtered airflow from the housing. The ear cup further includes an acoustic driver carried by or mounted to, either directly or indirectly, the housing, a reference internal noise sensor disposed within the housing, and a reference ambient noise sensor carried by or mounted to, either directly or indirectly, the housing. The ear cup further includes active noise control circuitry that is configured, in a first operating state, to use a signal provided by the reference internal noise sensor to operate the acoustic driver and, in a second operating state, to use a signal provided by the reference ambient noise sensor to operate the acoustic driver.
