The apparatus has an elongate support with a proximal region and a distal region.     摘要: Apparatus for remotely operated fluid pumping in work spaces, particularly suitable for the cleaning of enclosed space tanks such as those on marine vessels. The apparatus comprises one or more arm assemblies, each made up of two or more arm sections each, with the arm assembly mounted within of the tank. Hydraulic rotary actuators disposed between the arm sections provide up to 360 degree rotation of one arm section with respect to the next. A nozzle is mounted on a pair of hydraulic rotary actuators near the end of the arm assembly distal from the mount, with a hose supplying fluid from a supply pump to the nozzle. Fluids and solids from the cleaning operation can be pumped from the area being cleaned via a discharge pump to a holding vessel, such as a disposal barge. A video camera is mounted on the arm assembly, preferably at the nozzle, to permit an operator to remotely view the cleaning process and area. A control panel is preferably remotely located where an operator can fully control the device with the assistance of the video camera, including fluid flow, position of the arm assembly, and direction of fluid flow from the nozzle.

    摘要: A system for cleaning vessels that have been contaminated with oil field drilling and production waste materials such as oil well drilling fluid or hazardous waste using recycled wash water. As dirty wash water accumulates in a vessel during cleaning, it is transferred to a settlement section of the waste receiving barge. A cationic polymer is injected into the suction side of a waste water pump during transfer of dirty fluid from the vessel to the receiving barge. The polymers react with fluids to begin an initial settling process within the waste receiving barge. Decant water is subjected to secondary settlement and secondary chemical treatment after it leaves the primary settling section of the waste receiving barge. The laundered water is returned to the wash water storage facility for reusing and cleaning the same vessel or additional vessels. In this fashion, waste is continuously concentrated in the receiving vessel for ultimate disposal at a remote site and wash water is recycled for reuse.

Each recirculating solvent vapor stream facilitates heat and solvent vapor fluxes between the solvent vapor producing chamber and the vessel interior which are sufficient to maintain saturated solvent vapor in the vessel at very high temperatures during cleaning operations.

    摘要: The disclosed cleaning method is carried out using a pressure vessel containing a cleaning liquid pumped out of the pressure vessel and into a dirty tank. Cleaning liquid and dislodged contaminants are sucked up from the dirty tank by a partial vacuum created above the cleaning liquid within the pressure vessel. Solids and cleaning liquid are pumped from the pressure vessel at a first rate and are separated by a solids separator with the cleaning liquid being centrifuged to remove fine solids and then collected in a makeup tank. Cleaning liquid from the makeup tank is pump into the dirty tank at a second rate, less than the first rate. Excess liquid in the makeup tank is sucked back into the pressure vessel. A phase separator, mounted beneath the suction inlet, speeds the separation and concentration of solids, liquids and gases/vapors. The phase separator includes a number of vertically aligned, downwardly and inwardly tapered truncated conical concentrators with open tops and open bottoms above and below the free surface.
