摘要: A process for forming a molded plastic layer on a metal plate includes the steps of forming a plurality of posts that extend through and that are bonded to the metal plate in a first mold, placing the metal plate with the posts in a mold cavity of a second mold such that the posts abut against inner wall of the second mold and such that the metal plate partitions the second mold cavity into upper and lower mold sub-cavities, and introducing a resin into the upper and lower mold sub-cavities to form the molded plastic layer which encloses the metal plate.

摘要: A method of forming ablative insulation coatings on aerospace structures and articles produced thereby. The method includes forming a mold having a cavity configured to complementarily receive at least a portion of the structure and directly molding the ablative coating to a surface of the structure by introducing a prepared ablative mixture, such as an epoxy resin, into the mold. The process may desirably include curing at atmospheric pressures to reduce the expense and equipment required in carrying out the process. The method of applying the ablative coating further includes features such as varying the thickness of the ablative coating from one portion of the component to another. Control of the thickness may be effected through use of spacers embedded into the ablative coating an formed of the same or similar material previously cured prior to placement in the mold.

摘要: To manufacture a molded connector formed by a primary molding and a secondary molding, a primary molded piece having resin portion integrally formed with terminals and a projection formed on the resin portion is prepared first. The primary molded piece is disposed inside a mold used for the secondary molding such that a distal end of the projection abuts against a part of inner face of the mold. Then resin material is injected into the mold to conduct the secondary molding. The projection of the primary molded piece is deformable in accordance with inspecting pressure of the resin material. After the secondary molded piece is removed from the mold, a shape of the distal end of the projection to judge inferiority of the inspecting pressure of the resin material.

摘要: A method of injection molding material around the surface of an object. The method involves positioning the object within the cavity of a first mold and holding the object through the use of a plurality of clamping mechanisms. Material is injection molded about the surface of the object such that the material encompasses the object's surface except for points of contact between the clamping mechanisms and the object. A plurality of protrusions, formed of injection molded material and extending outwardly from the surface of the object, are formed during the injection molding process. Thereafter the object is removed from the first mold cavity and positioned within the cavity of a second mold. The object is secured within the second mold cavity through engagement of the outwardly extending protrusions with the second mold. Additional material is then injection molded about the surface of the object with the additional material encompassing the object except for points of contact between the outwardly extending protrusions and the second mold.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for applying the main insulation of conductor bars, in particular conductor bars for stator windings, whereby the conductor bars have a rectangular cross-section. The method comprises the following steps: insertion of a conductor bar with ends in an injection mold; centering of the conductor bar in the injection mold so that a void for holding an insulation material remains between the conductor bar and the injection mold; filling of the void with an elastomer in order to form the main insulation.
